Almost all VIS parts are mainly fiberglass with only the outter layer being Carbon. Makes them "affordable" and mainly for looks but they dont have the rigidity of what a Carbon piece would.


Thats why I'm really looking into Composite work... I could do jobs around what VIS is chargning (based on prices on their web site) and have it be all carbon... or at least if I charge material cost x 3.

I'll see how the vacuum bagging of the Fiberglass flares goes. Composite work isnt much different besides the fact you have to get the carbon to lay so the weave stays straight (for looks) and carbon and especially Kevlar are harder to cut.
