one person molded a shogun body kit to the bottom of his. i guess if you wanted to, use a body kit front end from a different car like a blitz kit or something and mold to the bottom.

i was thinking of something like that. does anyone know any cars that are similar in size to the zx2 that a kit would match up with? someone has to have done some stuff with an '03, lets see some pics

If you are going to mold together bumpers, 95-99 Eclipse, 00-05 Celica, and 96-05 Civic bumpers are close. Celica are a tad more boxy but can be made to work.
Regardless, there its a lot of work and will look like ass if you dont do it right.

All the way to the point he does the fiberglass over the front is good. Starting at the fiberglass point I would wax it all good, then make flange points for openings and for the outter edge. Then spray PVA let it tack, and then spray tooling gelcoat. Let it get to B stage (where you can touch it with your finger and just leave a finger print and not have anything on your finger) and start applying fiberglass and resin doing 2 layers at a time and letting almost fully cure before continuing. If you get the setup to hot from too much resin it can warm the mold and also make the piece wavy. After youve got a good 8-10 layers you add ribs made from MDF or metal and fiberglass over that to strenthen the setup. You do this piece by piece (there are other how-tos I can link you to if you are interested). Then drill holes in all the flanges for bolts. Then pull piece by piece off the foam. Once its all off clean with some hot soapy water, allow dry, and then wax. Then you start over with regular gelcoat and build up inside the mold with the fiberglass / resin.

Go on Ebay and buy some clear side marker lights for a focus. Then you just need to trim them down a bit to fit in the 03 grill spots. But they are only single filament bulbs so you will get hyper blink. But thats ok in my book.
