Yeah Colorado is pretty cool. I'm not a native but out of all the states I've lived in I like it best here.....except the fishing. I miss the Snake River on that account. Otherwise I am a happy camper (camping rocks here).

Woodland Park. That is the town I was trying to remember the other day.....kept calling it glenwood springs and my coworker kept saying that wasn't right.

We were talking about altitude and work (I am a PM Tech out in the field) and I had a job up that way one time. My cigarettes kept going out and I was winded the whole time I was there.....

I had to go to Climax yesterday....

Yeah, the altitude can get to you if you aren't used to it. The only time I'm phased is if I go to the top of Pikes Peak (14110 ft!!!). But Woodland Park is a nice little town.

Btw......where the hell is Climax?? I've never heard of it. Out in BFE?? lol

Climax-top of the pass on the way to Leadville on Hwy 9 (might be off on the highway). It's an old mine....molybdenum. Getting ready to reopen fully here soon. I think it's up around 11K and some change in altitude.

Yeah Pikes Peak-you can't smoke up there...the cigarettes won't burn. JK, but there's a reason why they race trucks up there to see how they do. If they make it there, they'll go anywhere hehe.

Yeah, Pikes Peak is a tough one. Ever been to the Hill Climb?? It is a bad-ass race. 14.1 miles, 156 turns, and almost 6000 feet of elevation gain! I want to go again this year, but I'm going to a Disturbed/Slipknot concert instead :splitnana:

I've only got to watch the videos of them. We had a truck in our facility a few years back that was heading that way. Was some twin turbo test Cat putting out some ungodly 1400whp and enough torque to rip a car in half. Sounded sweet on the dyno....hehe. I want to check them out one of these days in person.....

Yeah, that sounds bad ass. They have a semi class up the peak.....always a couple of them. And they are pretty fuckin fast. I like to go up to Devil's Playground and sit on the mountainside. You can see down quite a few switchbacks...it is really cool. Tickets are getting expensive though....$40 per (yuck)

I live down in Canon City Colorado (40 miles southeast of Colorado Springs and 30 miles west of pueblo) I love living in Colorado due to my rally nature. Alot of backroads and alot of fun.
