The only reason I know of fast blinkers is a turn signal out. If you say that are all working there must be a short somewhere.

In the same boat as you tbclrk. '98 MTX. Been doing this for a little over 2 weeks now.

Something has to be burned out. Check ALL of your lights. We have two lights that blink in the rear, IIRC.

Isn't there one in the corner of the headlights too?

The corner of the headlights, the inner turns, and two lights in the tailights.

that is what it is, my outside of the two lights doesnt flash, but it looks to be working fine in every other way, is that just becuase its going bad and needs to be replaced soon?

It sounds as if one of the filaments has already gone bad if it is not flashing. Pull it out and take a look to see if that is it.

If the lights are working, it's the blinker unit.

One of the lights is out, either blinker, tail light, or brake light... check all of them.

They are right, if you have the turbo blinker you need to swap out one of your bulbs. If the right side blinker is normal and the left is fast have someone get in the car and signal left, then right and look at each end and then you'll immediately notice which is out. If you find that you need to swap out one of the back lights, prepare to take your time, you have to remove the tail light to get to the bulbs. To do so I had to remove the black plastic surround that goes around the trunk latch and then fold the side carpet back. There are 4 bolts and two clips holding the tail light on there. Once you got it off its a 2 min job. Sylvania 3157LL bulbs will work for the tail lights even though it calls for a 3157KR. It should go without saying but, SWAP BOTH BULBS NOW! Clean out all the scum and crap out from the housingand put it back together.
