Well guys, it is the eve of my last day of High School. I'm scared...shitless. Tomorrow it my last day of actual class (I have two exams, debating on taking them or not) and it all seems unreal to me.
Tomorrow is the last day I can draw a huge dick on the board in Calculus and not get in trouble. Tomorrow is the last day I will go from 8-12:35 and still be number 13 in my class. Tomorrow is the last day I can go to 4th, check in, then go out to lunch. (lawl at science)
It all went...WAYYY to fast. I was tied down for 3 years with my ex, and I missed out on a lot of stuff. This year was my first party, everything. It's crazy. If I could go back I would do it all different. I had so much more fun these last 4 months then I did the last 4 years. Parties, girls, friends, everything.
So now I am leaving the place that I pretty much called home for the last 4 years, and it's sad. Today was a Senior Slideshow of all the shit we did this year, and most of us teared up (man I was close and I kind of wanted too, but I didn't, IDK why) because it really is...done.
Time for the real world; bills, taxes, bosses, jobs, all the shit we were all sheltered from. I am re leaved and petrified, but nothing I can do now.
On a side note, I got a $14,000 scholarship today. :brocoli:
R.I.P Highschool :(

I am not sure why people hang onto the past. Tomorrow is the first day of the next chapter in your life, whether it is on the way to college, to work, or just to being a bum.
You have the rest of your life to live. No go out and enjoy it (before I have to give you a kick in the butt.)

I know, it just seems like there is so much I wish I would have done and now there is no more chance for that, you know? So many clubs and sports I missed out on and parties that were epic that I was sitting at home for.
I agree though, I start college full blown July 7th...so it is a new chapter and a new start. Thanks Jon!

Leaving high school is a sad time, fo sure. But the whole sad aspect of it actually passes very quickly. I still miss high school all the time. But you have SOOO much more fun shit ahead of you man, believe me. Congrats on the scholarship, that's fuckin sweet.

At the time I was happy as hell to get out of high school. I was excited about no more class BS and stuff. Man that last month just went by too slow.
College was the same BS but more freedom. It was only untill after I got of of college that I do wish I did more back in HS. I too had a g/f for more then 3/4 of it but I don't regret it...
Sure I missed some stuff...sure I could have done this or that but it was fun and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Lucky I am still very good friends with most of my good HS friends and see them on a regular basis. I still run into some random people at the bars downtown and its fun all drunk but if I were sober it would prob be awkward. :p
Have fun in college!

meh, highschool was dumb and on the whole pointless. Thats what i get for going to FL public school though. I was glad to get out and move on. I talk to one person from HS and see a couple every now and then at local hangouts. Other than that, F it, its all memories you'll have forgotten a year from now anyways.

PS: I vote for being a bum. Trust me it's quite fun.

I'm right there with you in a way, but I just want it to end now. With all of this shit going on lately I just want it to be over. I am going to miss a lot. Some friends, basketball, a few teachers.. but like I said. Too much shit lately, just sick of it. I want out, where people are a tad more mature maybe. I'm sick of babies.

I really wish i had done more stupid stuff in high school. I was too quiet and played by the rules until like the last 2 months of hs. I have WAY more than made up for it my first year of college though, lol. Seriously though Brad, college is waaaay more fun than hs, you'll enjoy yourself.

Don't get too sad about it ending. Probably after the summer, you will not see 99% of the people you went to high school with until the reunuion, or ever again if you skip reunions like me.
Everyone will move away, go to college, go to work in another town, join the military or just generally disappear.
The friends you meet in college will be your friends in the future. High school friends are only friends because they have to be in the same building all day every day.
Sure there are some people who keep friends from their childhood, but most people probably don't.
Your best days are ahead of you. Be excited, not sad.
Of course now...welcome to the real world, kid. ;)

Truth to the same building shit buster.. I can't stand most of the people I am graduating with but I associate with them simply because I have no other choice.

Eh the only thing I regret in highschool is not doing better and not beating the piss out of kids who started with me all the time.
Congrats though man and in the least you'll be in school close by iirc
Hmm...you keep mentioning parties and shit that you missed in HS....I'm not that smart....but i'm pretty sure there are some parties in college you'd enjoy a hellva lot more. The chicks most likely at these parties will be "more willing"...and just in general be more fun.
I kinda miss HS at times, only because my life was just soo much easier. I didn't have kids, wife, or the bills and responsibilities I have now. But now I can say that i'm a man, and that feels alot better then saying i'm some HS kid.
Its time for you to grab the life that lays ahead of you by the horns, and show yourself that life after HS is gonna be soo much better. :)

I'm going to a tech school basically with like a 95:1 boy to girl ratio. At orientation there was ONE hot girl, and she was fucking amazing. She will be scooped up long before I get to her, not that I care, because I have someone I care about.
My college isn't like others. There is no campus, no parties, no nothing. I go from 8-12 every day monday-friday and that's it. I go home.
The day is over, and I have to go tomorrow to take my calculus exam from 8:00-8:50 and I am done.
It's not like I'm going psycho or freaking out, I am just reflecting and regretting. I know I'll be ok, I have a big future ahead of me.

Have fun and goodluck.:flipa:
Well damn, the college portion doesn't sound very fun at all. Well i'm sure you will meet some dudes there and you all will go out and still party.
Not that I'm encouraging under age drinking, or implying that you would drink, but i'm sure you'll have fun. ;)

Don't worry, with that pink car, you'll get plenty of attention in the dating scene. ;)
And when he's at school with that pink desk. ;)

If there are bigger schools around go to their frat parties. I go to a health science school and the parties suck so people throw their own or go to Upenns

I know how ya feel man, and it does suck moving on.... But the only time you'll really miss it is if become a complete and utter failure when you hit college, like me.
Dont worry about the parties and shit, they'll be pleanty more on down the line. Trust me, the college your going to does sound boring, but its probally in your best intrest. That way your not tempted to stray away from the reason your truly there.
I miss it everyday, but most of the people I hung out with, arent that big of a part of my life as they used to be. Anyways, congrats on the scholarship, and try and enjoy what little bit of summer you've got, cause once its over, your going to be forced to grow up rather quickly!

There isn't a day goes by that I don't miss being in high school. Now that I look back, I really wish I could have gotten involved more and made different choices. Not that I lead a bad life, but I miss it so much I wish I would have had more of it when I had the chance. Now I work for a local company and we do a lot that involves the school district I graduated from. I find myself involved a lot with volunteer work, helping out as much as I can. All through high school I complained about having to go, complained about the people and work and really didn't appreciate all the fun I was having. Now, as an adult I'm stuck with working 40 hours a week with college on top of it, a drop in friends and I'm broke as hell. -.-

i regret not trying harder in high school and getting my honors diploma (only thing keeping me was foreign language) but for the most part, college is where the fun is. just make sure you go to class!! i've failed too many courses just from missing a week or so of class. learn your lesson!
