Ok, great day for racing sunny and in the 70's Started the day with a taurus spring in the right front and two spring rubbers in right rear. I had my new tires shaved and was hopeing for a good day. First practice was 17 fast with a 22.2 best lap qualified 18 out of 36 cars with a 22.01. Started on the back row of the A feature. Roasted my right front tire in practices and qualifying and put a new one on for the heat and feature. In my heat race started 6 out of 11. Worked my way up to second but got passed coming to the line by a honda. Took 3rd out of 11. In the feature I passed 6 cars on the first lap, but there was a crash coming out of turn four and we restarted the race. Not real happy giving all those spots back. After the restart worked my way up to 13 out of 18. Got done and my second brand new tire for the day was shot. Peeled it down to the cords and almost blew for the second week in a row. Some people in the stands said they could see sparks for the last three laps or so. Buying an offset rim for the right front so I can get some camber in it without hitting the strut perch. I have no speed coming out of turn four. Just pushing up toward the wall and spinning the tire on right front. Probably because it is shot by the end of the race. Was 13th in points coming into the week out of 52. Hope I don't drop, but I have to get this tight issue fixed before my next race in two weeks.

Yeah two and a half weeks ago I got an offset racing rim and solved my camber problem in the right front. went out and tested and ran a 21.47 second lap. Cut 8 tenths off my best time all year. Was looking forward to racing two weeks ago. Saturday came and it was blazing hot out. The track was very slick and I was so loose I couldn't drive the car. Made an adjustment in the toe and took two spring rubbers out of the right rear and added one to the right front. went out for group qualifying and the car was runnig great again. There are ten of us on the track at a time for qualifying. Got stuck behind a slower car and went to pass him in turn two. I got position on him on the inside and he turned into the pit from a lane and half high. Came right down on me and I had nowhere to go. My right front tire caught his left front tire and I drove right up the side of him at around 65 mph. Lost it and slammed the wall. ripped my right front tire right off. Snapped the axle, inner tire rod, broke the rotor, ripped the calipre right off, tore the strut right out of the cap. Luckily I did qualify for a spot and the feature got rained out. Got rescheculed for the next Friday night with another night of racing. Spent Monday and tuesday looking for parts. Found them all and went to fix it on Thursday. discovered the engine had a huge crack in the block starting in the back running all the way to the front to the head. Had to get my backup car ready, a 95 escort lx. Got it setup and took it to the track. It is a dog, no engine in it. However the setup was fantastic. Qualified 24th for the B feature. Ran the rained out A feature from the week before and finished 15th. Drove good just no power and I couldn't hang. Started 11th in the B feature becaue of the inversion of 12. worked my way up to 2nd behind a guy who usually qualifies in the A feature. He missed qualifying and had to start in the back of the B. Going on vacation this friday. When I get back, gonna get an engine in my ZX2 and get it back on the track. been a long two weeks. finally figured out the setup in the car and now it is a wreck. Oh well that's racing. By the way been keeping track of your season. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
