Can someone explain how pillowtops on the struts operate. All can can see so far is that they seem to pivot in any direction. I am worried they need to lock into postion or they will freely pivot while I drive. Is that he case?

pillow ball upper strut mounts. they are thinner...allow for more suspension travel on the strut. they are also a very acurate way of adjusting your camber. you can drive to the track on -.5* of camber...and adjust in the grid and race with say...3* of camber.

Real racers like you know more than street drag racers.

^that goes without saying. although..i don't understand it..but a lot of people will spend tons of money modding their car with things like these, and never take it to the track. i guess they got "street cred". :poke:

Well, that is my hope, to try out some auto-x. I just have to find some happening in my area. I prob have two things going against me though: 1) I have an ATX, and second I have a lot of mods that would put me in a much higher class.

^read through the rule books...you might be in STS. depends on the extent of your engine mods. most bolt ons are ok. if you have anything between the throttle body and the header done...you'd be in SM..an anything goes class.
