no custom work at all? what about rim size? 17+ I guess?

no custom work at all, I promise. I've known for years the rear would work, but haven't ever found a front set until I seen ksports.

Larger rims are a obvious.

Rears are made by ksport, goodwin , baer, and brembo ...maybe others

I know the rotor and caliper are the same as the s/r . Only difference i know is the caliper got updated throughout the years.

They list diff kits for years on the miata, I think its 94+ we want...but I'm researching it

So the rears are the same as an S/R, and the front rotors are larger?

yeah, my new engine + lsd'd tranny are going in next week. installed the new suspension + 22mm rsb 2 weeks ago, will do the brakes (hi performance stock) at the same time as my engine.

so I think its enough for this year... the turbo is also going in in a month or so

the miata front is brakes are different I know the caliper is different . I didn't check the rotor cross reference.

I know the 323 rotors are the same, I'm pretty sure the caliper is the same... I'm looking into it.

The miata rears are the same as the s/r's , but they list different years on the big brake kits. So I'm seeing whats different, did they ever create a 5 bolt rim miata? was the rotors ever changed in size?

I'm looking, if anything I'll email goodwin.

So lets see if i'm following you....the rear brakes on a Miata will fit our ZX2?

And...

lets say I don't want the big brake combo...could I just pull the parts off a Miata and use them?

I've asked this before but was told no...

well yes and no. The hubs are the same, but the center has been knocked out for use of axles. Ours has this capped off.

You could take the miata calipers and rotors though. Maybe even the e-brake cable , not sure if its the same.

I don't think the Miata got 5 bolt hubs until 2002. Otherwise they are all 4x100

Precision brakes sells thier zx2 kit cheaper than that.

FYI Precision Brakes is now Revolution.

Ya precision went out of business.

What I've found is on the miata's is the rear brakes are technically the same, but the "sport" package came with a larger rear rotor and different spindle to caliper piece.

So with that said, obtain the rotors and the mount and you'll have a 1 inch larger rear rotor.

I can lock mine up at anytime, so I don't
need larger brakes.

Bigger brakes aren't about locking up your brakes. That really doesn't provide a whole lot of stopping power, it just ruins your tires.

If I got some larger brakes, it would be because I want to road race out at heartland park. I'm still unsure about it because if wreck it, thats alot of work down the drain.

Other then that , my upgraded rotor/pads on the s/r will be fine.
