Northeast meet, july 12th, albany ny UPDATE PAGE 1

As many of you know, on july 12th I will be having a meet in albany NY. Everyone is invited. I want it to be huge. Get there early in the morning and hang out, go swimming, whatever. I'll cook up some burgers n such. Once everyone gets there we'll probably just sit around and bust eachothers balls over something for a while and eat some more.

Later in the day when everyone is done swimming and whatever else we'll all take a cruise around the country roads. Long, short, whatever you guys are down for. After that we can come back and have a fire and just sit around.

If you're drinking, you have to bring your own beer. If you do, you're either staying the night or getting cut off at least two hours before you leave. I'd prefer you camped out in my yard though. I will not be providing any alcohol.

People are welcome to put up tents in the yard, and a few members (probably two) can stay in the house. Those who drive the farthest will probably get that right.

The next day we will be cruising up to the great escape. It is a six flags amusement park. Check it out online. No sure what admission is. If we have enough people going I am sure we can get a group rate.

Random_hero lives about two hours north of me and has offered to let a few people stay at his place over the night. The great escape is only 5 minutes from his place.

BE VERY CAREFUL COMING DOWN MY ROAD. Take the turn wide and stay as FAR TO THE LAKESIDE AS POSSIBLE. Lowered cars WILL scrape if they don't do this. There is also a reverse speed bump. Go slow and you won't scrape. Park in the road and ask me about parking.

The great escape is about 20 from me, and I live in the country with plenty of twisties, so anyone down can take a nice "spirited" drive home with me. I can probly put up 2 guys, possibly 3. I live about an hour and a half away from you eric =p Unless I get lost like last time..... We all had a blast last time - I assume this year will be even more fun!

I'd be lookin' at 850 miles or so and around 13 hrs for the drive. Nobody's close enough to be able to ride up there with me and share the drive. I honestly puss out at a 10hr drive. 8 hours is the prefered max. It's not like our cars are actually comfortable and I'm getting to old to sit in one place for a long peorid of time. I would however, love to drive up north on a weeks vacation to do the "Niagra Falls" thing in person.

OOook, don't know where that came from but it isn't about that. You need to think deeper. Would you have the same job security, benifits, availiability to move up the ladder etc. It isn't about how far the job is or how much it pays...it's always about longevity. If...if I drove up, it would have to be on Friday and I would have to crash somewhere in PA. Then finish the trip early Sat morning. Then comes the problem of leaving on Sunday to be back for work on Monday. Our shift bid is comming up in the next week or so and I need to see if I get bumped off my shift or not before I can make any definate plans......

yea, only for 24 min and 22 sec lol. After I hung up with you I called my friend and we went urban style mountain biking for 2 hours before I had to work. I started falling asleep at work before lunch so I'm like cool, I have my bike in my car. So I open my trunk to find that I had a slow leek in my back tire and no riding at 4am to the river for me on lunch break. I hate bike tire tubes, I have no luck with them lol.
