the head is overworked by JohnP , Frim is the 1 generation.

I've had one before, sold it to seriouszx2 1 1/2 ago.

Now that mani I had before was slotted by someone else, but after doing it myself it wasn't slotted this much.

Is it really off that bad? I've never seen pictures of anyone slotting more then a hair, looks like I'll have to slot 1/4 inch or more

pictures attached.

In the last picture the middle bolt hole on the bottom is hollow , looks to run to a coolant area of the head, not 100% sure. I dont remember this on my stock head, unless something blocked it and I just never paid attention.

If anyone has anything to say about it, I'd appreciate it... otherwise I'll just block it once the motor is in and everything is hooked up.

no one, also I didn't notice til after I had dropped off the head to a machine shop (they're setting the clearance for the cams for me)

that two of the bolt holes are inches off.

Check my pics on webshots for the location of the holes , there marked in Dykem . You'll be about a 1/4" , make sure the bottom holes will position the ports correctly , there the most critical . The top/end holes can be slotted , it's the bottom ones that position the ports. Theres a couple of holes you won't uses .

If you have a hole transfer punch , position the template and mark the location .

When I match the old FRM , I do it with the valves out of the head . That way you can see if it's in the right position . If it needs to be moved , you can work the holes to get the best fit .

is the thread type the same for the intake as the exhaust ?

m8 x 1.25 ?

Right , don't over tighten the bolts on the intake/exhaust bolts . Over tightening will pull the thread , the metal around the hole will raise .
