Does anybody know if this is sufficient to make my belt walk and get shredded?

this is about 1mm into the pulley. I've seen other pulleys in much worst condition, but I want
to double check if mine is ok before I go back to stock.

Looks like a bad timing belt tensioner or idler. I would say you could reuse it.

I had just reinstalled my timing kit when I installed my powder pulley and my belt shredded as well :/

Well i can tell you that it's not the pulley's fault. I'm not just saying that because it's my pulley either, i'd say the same for any other pulley. If your timing belt is running true, which it's clear the OP's was NOT, per the marks on the pulley, then that will happen.

Timing belt shouldn't touch the crank pulley... fyi.

Just saw this issue with Fat Dave, it looked just like the picture. An idler pulley died, the belt walked into the Power Pulley and did the damage like what is pictured above. We took a chance and put it back on with a new timing kit and the belt shreded in just a couple hundred miles, maybe less. I would definatly not put it back on. For Fat Dave, we took off his two piece crank pulley, replaced it with a new one piece, then machined down the Power Pulley so we could use the backing plate from the two piece crank pulley. It seems to be working good so far.

I had the same issue with mine. I don't think I had as much wear, but my issue was just adjusting the tensioner.

If only there was one made for our cars.....
If enough people show up at All Ford Nationals in June we might convince Ford to make one....

Had the same thing happen to mine in about 10-15k miles. I had the belt a little on the tight side though.
Had the pulley cleaned up and a new face/insert milled up for it:

if we put the washer from the 1st version of crank gear in between the udp and the gear, will the serp belt stay true? i'm getting one in the mail soon, and wanted to hear opinions (i know dougie did it).

no you would have to mill that much off of the pully to keep the belt inline
