i welcome everyone to come, eat, drink, and be merry. i'm going to host a BBQ at my place in the Peoria area again...this time, with warmer weather! since it'll be at my place, i won't have an excuse i can't make it for being broke this time :bangnana:

i have a propane grill...so anyone that wants steaks, burgers, dogs, etc i can grill em up. cold refreshments will be on a BYOB basis...but i'll have some stocked up possibly. there's more to do here now that it's summer...like mini golf...go-karts...and a wide variety of twisty back roads to cruise upon on the way to lookout points for photo shoots overlooking the wonderful central IL river valley.

i'll open this up for saturday 28th, and anyone wanting to stay overnight in the area can hang out the 29th as well. there are a few hotels pretty close to my place, if anyone is interested in coming from afar! we can do installs and powdercoating also, if i give a heads up to my dad.

the address doens't come up as the right place on google maps..it's 1128 Kern Rd, Washington, IL 61571...on the map, the pinpoint is off a little..i'm right on the bend where Kern turns into Wilmore road..so it's off about 1/8 mile.

ok...i'll either be powdercoating a valve cover early saturday morning, or sunday for cambo. so i'm going to kick off the meet at 12-noon at my place in Washington, IL. there's a Kroger and WalMart near if anyone wants steaks, chips, soda, beer....and i'll provide hotdogs, a few brats, and burgers.

we'll hang out at my place a little bit, BS, eat, w/e....then we can head to East Peoria or Peoria. there's a few good photo op spots if the weather is nice...if not, there's some good mini golf, bowling, winding roads, lots of oportunities for fun.

nah this is the first time for the motor, i replaced my old motor because it had 150,xxx miles on it and i DIDNT want it to blow, then i replaced the turbo cause the seals were bad, and the clutch i upgraded to a 6 puck.

but i guess my races tonight against a turbo cavalier, a civic, and an STi did me in, started knockin REAL bad afterwards so i brought her home and parked her but if i fix it im not doing stock bottom end anymore.

anyone got any good leads on a built bottom end or svt block?

Ah ha!! good thing I smoke cigars. Welp didnt get my suspension in, cuz iv been with a friends family in court for moral support all week. Tonight is my sis's b-day and tomorrow I prolly wont have enough time to get it done and aligned. plus my buddy got a tie rod for me but then left it at home and went to FL.... anyrate I will be there. with all my illegal tinted glory. Ugh iv been pulled over 2 times in the past week in peoria for it. lame

well..i'm gonna call the meet a pseudo success. ended up only having dan and cameron from this site show up...but cameron brought 3 friends (one with a nice 350z Nismo tune) and dan brought a friend and his girl and her daughter....so it was a fair turnout. i got my tranny reinstall done a little late, and cameron was a real trooper...trying to find my place for 2.5 hours. he finally found it when i was going home from my dad's place and passed by the Hardees he was eating at...and decided to follow me (we didn't have each others' numbers). but overall, we had a blast, i got a little faded (5 beers and 2x 3 shot each bloody mary's at the end) and fun is what it's all about. looking forward to July's meet.

note to self...find out about St Louis region SCCA solo for cameron's friends, and Legacy GT parts for dan's friends.

ya i had fun. me and tim(my buddy with the 350Z) got the cops called on us ont he way back lol...didnt get pulled over though so thats good. 350Z tim raced a new vette on the way back right outside of springfeild and got beat.
