Ive been looking for someone to make C/F overlays parts for my car, so I ended up meeting the owner of a company that makes carbon fiber products and is willing to make interior / exterior parts for the zx2 at a very low price, BUT only to the 10 first persons, why only 10 ? because with that he recovers the material and labor that he invest in making the MOLDS, yes molds, its not c/f wrap its actually molds and he is going to use my car to make them fit right.

He used to make products for VIS, Versus & Mastergrade, but now he only sales on EBAY,

you can see he has very custom parts.

It takes 3 weeks to make a mold and 3 days to make the actual part.

He show me some parts and its great stuff, you can see from the ebay adds, its going to be 2kx2kx c/f

- door sills
- wiper cowl
- Side plastics from seats
- Fenders

Im going to take pictures of his shop and some of the work he does.

Remember this is only for the 10 first persons, after that he sale the parts on ebay at a higher cost.

I need to take better pics, this ones just dont do any justice to the cowl.
I used the same bolts, only painted them black, perfect fit.

someone PMd me about the WW kit, and even offered to send it to have the molds made, the problem is that this guy is accepting making our stuff because he is just going to invest in material and his earnings are going to come from the sales on ebay, and a WW kit would be a "special order" (they could sue him) and he is not going to be able to sale it on ebay, so it would be more expensive.

Im going to see im tomorrow and ask him.

I'd take the whole kit minus the wing in carbon fiber. I wouldn't mind paying a lot more for it. I called VIS because they are part owners of WW now and they won't do it. I'd almost expect to have to pay in the $1500 plus range for a carbon fiber body kit.

Ok so the wipper cowl was a little bit more difficult than expected, they had to redo some of sharp edges, but today we try it and it fits perfect and it look awesome !!!, it just needs buffing and painting the back side black, its going to be ready tomorrow, BUT tomorrow my car is getting some parts repainted, so i wont be able to take pics until the car is done in one week.

actually not that much because this guy used to make products for VIS, so we would be getting the same quality for a lower price, it dosent have to be 10 but the more the better so the price is lower, because it would be a new mold. If only one person wants to pay for the mold thats fine.

I paid for the mold for the spark plug cover and whipper cowl but you can see there isnt that much of a demand, i only know of 2 persons that have bought this stuff, so i know for sure that he is not going to invest any of his money in more products if only a few are going to buy, but then again theres only a few that mod the zx2.

Last time i visit him they just finish a center console for a Supra and a roof liner and a center console for an Eclipse, beautiful stuff.

The good thing for me (or us) is that i found another guy who does c/f overlay´s and he guesstimate the passenger vent and cluster surrounding for 180 dlls, so thats not bad at all.

mmm i dont know but you can see the hoods that he sales on ebay are between 300 to 400, so it might be a little less then that.

The only things that are for sale right now is the wiper cowl and spark plug cover.

The door sills (i think you mean that) are future plans but he needs to see interest in the first things.

Gas doors i think it would be better to have them overlay with c/f, but that would be in the 40 - 50 dlls area.
