Exhaust Tip

Is there any trick to get the stock exhaust tip off ,or do you just take a hack saw or cut off tool. I have a new tip and was wondering

Well if I cut the stock muffler tip off it looks like my new tip will be crooked. darn it any suggestions ???

saws all works the best, had to cut off my muffler to replace it.

i think the stocker is welded on. Cutting it off would be an option but could be difficult...

Well I took yea old hack saw and cut it off I need to know is there anything I can use to fill in the gap from exhaust pipe and tip ????

advance auto or auto zone will have pipe and pipe fitters that will work.

yea, i don't think the stock muffler is welded on... it's just rusted on (in my case). We had to take a hack saw to it and it was pretty easy to do. Just aim right in front of the muffler inlet and you should be good (for anyone else that needs to cut it off)

Oh, and you're definitely not going to be able to fit your giant hack saw in there, so in this case: size does matter. lol.

I took jb weld to fill in the gap from tip to exchaust pipe sanded it painted and if I say so myself looks pretty good for a shade tree mechanic like myself :o)
