Zx2 vs Built D16

Basically where I live it is mostly dominated by Honda's and DSM's. We have a lot of people with big heads just because of that fact.

Last night I was just sitting with some friends at the local QT having a smoothie checking out the cars, when my friend suggested I should actually race tonight ( I never race anymore ). He told me I would be a good match for his other friends "built" 93 D16 hatch. I guess it had the usual I/H/E plus a few internals and oh no, a vtec controller. When my friend asked if he wanted to race my Zx2 the guy laughed and said alright.

We agreed to go from a roll considering my tranny is barely in one piece so we head out to the normal area. We get up to 15 and take off. I was actually surprised that he stayed with me during first. I hit 2nd and pulled maybe half a car to a car, but when it came to 3rd i started walking him pretty hard and I let off around 75 or so. I'd say it was a decent win.

The look on the guys face was priceless as he pulled the usual fly-by and headed back to QT.

It's actually multiple pieces. Gears, forks, bearings, shafts, rods, plates, etc.

I saw an EG hatch with a built D16 with a 50 shot running 12.60's at Cecil last summer. It was quite impressive, and it was funny listening to all the Twin Cam honda boys whine & bitch too.

2) i (along with pretty much everyone on teamzx2) am sick of hearing about the car for no reason. Its an awesome ride, I'd rock it, but I mean come on, this thread was about a zx2 beating a honda and he just comes out of left field and saying how sweet his cobra is.
3) I'm 20 right now. I bought my zx2 in cash when i was 17 and every dime that I put into it was out of my pocket. If I really wanted to at 18 I could have a crazy ass sweet car, but i instead chose to invest in a college education. To each his own.

lol. this next summer i will step into a huge corporation making $25/hr as an INTERN. The next year after I graduate I will START OUT making a MINIMUM of $65k/year (these r not bs numbers i just pulled outta my ass, i have a buddy who went to the same school, same major, same internship, etc). Oh, and I pay $4,500/year to go to a school that would normally cost $30k/year because of extensive scholarships that I earned from busting my ass in high school. I guess concentrating on academics and learning how to spell and make complete sentences did pay off.....

Regardless, I'm done with this. The thread-jacking is dumb.

Global Marketing dept at Caterpillar being an office bitch at first, but i do get my own cubical! :ropenana: lol Then after I graduate I will move up to an actual sales/marketing position. So to answer ur question, to most people my job prob isn't cool, but I find it cool, so ya....lol

The nitrous is still dead weight in the trunk because i havent been in town for almost 3 weeks. I went on a cruise and then a week at beaver lake.

My parents were actually just asking if tom would still do my tranny for $300 like he said cuz they want it fixed before i go to college.
