my mods are in my sig
his are muffler and intake plus LOTS of weight reductions
the main difference is im atx hes mtx
from about 35 on 3 honks he walked on me hard all the way till maybe 6k rpms then it evened out and i would barely ease forward but as soon as he shifted it was over.
from 25 my car started in 3rd and wouldnt down shift to second for some reason so pretty much the same results as above except that he had like 2-3 cars on me before we got to the same point
from a stop he launched pretty good. i didnt even try to launch and he had about 1 car off the line then walked hard. like 3-4 cars by the end of 1st.
lol. it was bad. and my car doesnt run shitty at all. i get about 34-36 mpg with my normal driving with an atx so it seems like everthing is running good. just a gay atx.

i keep my interior in these days...keeps it quieter and i have to have it to be legal to race in my class.
but everything can come out very quickly. i even have the carpet cut so i can take it out without removing the driver seat.

Everything from my front seat back is gone, no speakers, no carpet, no spare tire. Maybe I will get rid of my ABS modulator, cruise control, and A/C. Going from my 16" rims to 17" rims will hurt my 1/4 times because of its heavier rotating mass but I can probably still stay in the upper 14's, if not 15 flat. If I went with 16" SSR rims I would probably hit mid 14's (they weigh 10.5 lbs each). But it would cost $1060 to get.

136.5WHP N/A with an ATX, and currently a 15.9 in the 1/4. i think i can get a little better now that i retarded my exhaust cam 3 degrees.
driving is awsome. no issues. depending on the road surface torque steer is a factor at WOT. ive also got to be carefull of WOT in corners. it downshifts sometimes when i dont want it to. its hard sometimes not go beyond that point where it DS.
i smoked a median real bad a couple summers ago. it will definetly break loose if i have the wheels tuned and go WOT. other than that it fun as hell to drive.

If he was really committed to weight reduction, he'd be sitting on a milk crate with NO seats, no speakers and why would he need a console? For a drink?

 lol...i have thought of the milk crate swap but still kinda iffy...:cyclops:.....and only kept the center console because of the cupholders and because i didnt want the shifter looking all bare...i have a cool little white and black boot that i bought and i like it so im keeping the center console

when my interior is out...i doubt it. header takes off a good 15-20 lbs, as does the front bumper reinfocement, and the rear discs shed another 20 lbs.

very true....once i get my exhust though we might be kinda close....your gonna have to show me how to take off the front bumber reinforcement cuz now that you mentioned it i have never thought of taking that off.....is that where a cutting torch comes in? lol
zxtwou2
06-10-2008, 11:15 PM
no, you don't need to cut anything for that. if you want, i can take it off for you..i happen to need one to stay in my class for racing :(

is it just the 2 bolts at the bottom that i have to take off?
zx2cambo
06-11-2008, 09:04 PM
that and i think you have to squeeze in at one side because the top slides out kinda weird. i think its got a tab that hits but if you pull it in towards the inside of the glovebox it should come out
potatoman
06-11-2008, 09:40 PM
i started to try and pull all 6 or 8 screws but i couldnt get to the bottom so i stopped shortly after i started and it was getten dark.
