Well, after years of waiting for stability, of steady cash and drama seeking baby mama's
i finally decided to treat myself to a life long dream. im now the owner of a fire red 2005 ford mustang. i sealed the deal at 14 grand flat. im leaving for a year to play in the sand box in afganistan, so i figured, "awh what the hell"
as long as the bills get paid, might as well spoil myself before i leave for that shithole for a fricken year. i had the choice of chossing between the v8 and the v6. i choose the v6 for reasons of fuel consumption. i dont really give a crap about gross power. i just really really really wanted to own one, now i do,, and i rule. the first of few things im gonna do is get rid of those horrible wheels. im going for the classic drag aluminum type rims.

atx v6 mustang...and for 14k...and it's 4 years old?

good luck if you like it, though. there is a nice 08 shelby gt here for 30k flat

I don't blame you for going for the v6, I just put 40 bucks in the z today :(
I like the red interior, the carpet seems a little iffy though. Nice handgun option too

I've never had as fun driving an atx sport car as I do a mtx sport car. Something about controlling that power especially in turns "turns" me on to it. Just my thoughts. Beautiful car btw.

ya dude, i actually test drove a 05 gt convertible fully loaded for 18k with only 33k miles. is that one really low mileage or something?

Actually the s197 mustangs have a pretty cool Automatic in them. They have a close ratio 1st and 2nd, if you ever drive one you will know what I mean. It doesn't take a whole lot of money to throw a bigger stall convertor and shift kit to make one drop about .5 a second in the 1/4.
BTW rear wheel drive cars don't have ATX or MTX, there is no transaxle involved.

Yeah I meant automatic/manual I just didn't spell it out and didn't feel like thinking at that moment obviously. Thanks for the correction though lol.

I would choose my sisters old 2001 Mustang over her 2000 mustang GT Convertible anyday. Nice choice though! And thank you for serving for our country! Go USA!

Very nice. With the gas as high as it is....hell i'd even by a 4 banger Stang if they made one now a days.

I'm totally kidding...those things were OMFG sooooo slow. But your car is sexy.

Nice, but the ONE thing you really need to do is add the GT grille with foglights or at least a V6 Pony Package grille with the smaller lights.

The base V6s just look like they're missing something without lights there. :D

I love the interior in yours.

Good choice going with the Pony. Price tag was a bit steep for what gas prices are. But if you want it bad enough you will pay it. Nice ride!

Allow me to add to this.

Debadge and tint of course.
Now here is the route I would take. Lower the front, not alot, but enough to give it a more agressive stance. I wouldn't be too overly concerned about handling. From getting the automatic v6 I assume you won't be beating on it. Just cruising. Decent aftermarket rims, and maybe a wider set in the rear.
Mach 1 hood, and a nice set of louvers for the rear quarter glass.

That is as far as I would go into over all looks. Then I would get intake/header/cat delete/exhaust for a deep growl.

For as much money as it would really take, I think it would look spectacular like that.

ive made up my mind,, i dont want to change the appearance too much, no way i fucken wit a beauty like this too much. so the mods i will put on is as follows

tein lowering springs

gt front grille, with fog lights

de-badge it of course]

darker tint on windows

and white letter out tires, with original rims

perhaps, maybe a open intake hood, (to help keep temp down )

and then just ride off in the sunset.

I highly recommend Cooper Cobra tires.

I'm on my second set on the Z. They look great, nice fat sidewalls. My first set lasted 75-80K miles and would have gone further but I wanted fresh tread for winter, which they're great in. They handle great too. Cost me about $80/tire for 195/60/15.

I like all the ideas except for the stock wheels. Maybe stock gt bullit wheels???

problem is, im running size 16 wheels. i would sacifice for a larger or smaller size, but then i wont be able to get the wheels i really want,, cause of the funky offset. i must have fwd wheels, even though its a rwd car.

I like that you got the road rage package ;)

Airsoft or Not.

They still frighten the "other driver" just as much when they see you pull it ;) hehehe

naw, i dont do the airsoft thing, all mine are the real deal. ask loon. speaking of which, i just sold my russian made AK 47 model, with scope and bi pod attachments. plus a box of 7.62 by 39 just so i can buy a set of ebach lowering springs.
there is a hole in my heart now
