I was wondering what everyone thinks of this kit

is poly-fiber reinforced plastic a fancy word for fiber glass?
I need my back bumper replaced and a new one from ford is $350 so i figured a kit for $400 would be good. but i hate going through ebay for the stuff but, i have experience with fiber glass if i needed to form it differently..
anyone ever try something like this out?
Thank you

poly-fiber reinforced plastic sounds extremely sketchy.

it's the bomex kit...and all the jibberish is fancy talk for fiberglass. i think almost all those kits were fiberglass at least.

Do not get a Fiberglass bumper if you plan on driving your car everyday. I am lowered 2 inches and i managed to have my buddy club front bumper scratched and cracked within three weeks! I didn't even paint my bumper yet, and i don't plan to waste my good paint with it. I plan on rattlle can it. But my rear bumper and side skirts will be painted to color match and everything!

is it illegal to not have the inner turns?, cuz you would still have the one on the side of the headlight...

depends on your local laws. if all OE lighting must be kept, you must keep it.

I think it is hideous. Makes it look like one of those Eclipses that are ribbed for no one's pleasure on the sides.
Don't get a fiberglass kit anyways. You'll regret it after it breaks into pieces in the winter time or on a bump.
Urethane is nearly indestructible. On my previous car, I had a Wings West kit. I smacked a guardrail at 25 MPH after hitting a patch of ice on an offramp and it only needed the paint touched up. No damage at all. Of course, my fender was flattened but the bumper was fine.

i cracked my urethane buddy club kit this winter...the ONE day i drove it. hit a railroad track where my bumper hit the other side of the raised pavement and now there's 3 huge cracks all the way though, and the left side of the bumper flaps in the wind. :(

yeah urethane sounds like the way i'll go, luckily i have my graduation party Saturday and will hopefully get a good some of money that i will be able to spend to fix up my car.:splitnana:
thanks everyone for the advice!:rocknana:
Get the Wings West lip kit. It is the easiest to put on, cheaper to put on, best looking, and its just the best. :)
