Every time I would use my old wipers at the end of the driverside wiper it would scratch the windshield. I used some elbow grease and water but that didn't work. Is there something I can buy at like autozone from mothers or meiguars? I got rid of my old wipers and bought some cool looking ones and they dont scratch but it's still there

Something like that happened to me to. I was a noob trying to change the wiper blades, drove the z up to autozone and bought the blades and thought Id change them in the parking lot. Took the old blades off and decided Id just go ahead and change them at home. Well my stepdad was in the passenger seat wiping the interior down and mustve hit the wipers on so when I cut the car on i just watched it make this long sweeping scratch on the windshield. Curious to know what I could do about it. Wasnt there some stuff that you used on glasses to remove scratcches? If i could find that Id try it.

Well I got a glasses care kit for my oakelys that works really well on my glasses so I'll try that and wipe it down with a microfiber towel. I'll get back to ya if this works.

Yea, and for an investment like that Id at least have to see it work in person.

The powerball is $24.99 at autozone and I don't know what the price is on the mothers glass stuff but I figure around $15.

It is awesome, at least for polishing wheels. :D

Do you think it would work on the windshield?

Never tried it.
Depends on how deep the scratch is.

Its not deep. It seems like a surface scratch

Update:
Used my Mothers Powerball with Meguiar's PlasticX on my headlights after wetsanding from 400-2000 grits...they look better than ever. The ball does work well on headlights...just make sure you are only using the side of the ball so the metal post in it doesn't gouge your light.

Some thing you must remember that you cannont polish your windsheild the same way you polish your headlights, Glass DOES NOT polish out the samw way plastics do.
DO NOT TRY THE HEADLIGHT REPAIR ON YOUR WINDSHIELD IT WILL ONLY CAUSE MASS AMOUNTS OF SCRATCHES

Of course, it's sandpaper! :D
Glass would need to be filled with an acrylic and polished. You can't sand glass, you can only scratch it up with sandpaper. :D

Yes, I was just making sure that it was said, you know.

Yeah, the Powerball is a completely separate product from my headlight repair kit. I just combined them.
I bought the 'ball for my wife's polished aluminum wheels, does a great job and makes them look like chrome.
I wash it after every use, so it seems to be OK to use all over the car if clean. :)

My friend used them on some HRE 3 peice wheels and they turned out amazing.
I haven't broken down and bought one yet. Maybe one day.

Do it. You won't regret it. ;)
I use the Mothers wheel polish with it.
