Hey guys haven't been around since before the site crash...
Decided to sell my car and thought I'd give Team Zx2 members 1st offer.

This Zx2 is very quick, handles like none other, and gets incredible mpg.
(weighs just over 2200lbs with driver) My car (and I know I'll hear some b/s for this) will do 145mph plus... not recomended of course, just wanted to give an idea of it's performance capabilities.

Problems include small dent in pass. fender, cracked windshield (all quotes have been around $200), and oil pan needs to be pulled and re-sealed (which if it's an issue for anyone I'll do myself w/ oil change before sale), and last but not least; 174,000 miles... yikes! Right?

Don't be afraid of the mileage, this car runs like it's new. Almost every thing on / in the car is less than two years old, and has been very well maintained. I am the second owner of the car and have had it for five years now. It's been driven kindly on the street with the occasional (yet expected) romping around.

Pass. seat included. Had 16x7 wheels but recently sold.

well... first my starter fell apart in 3 pieces saturday night after the races, i waited til monday to fix $90. then today my passenger window has been missing a spacer thing so it falls off track so today instead of tightening by hand i used pliers and was a dumbass and over tightened. i went to put the door panel back on and the window shattered. only 1/4 of it tho cause the rest was held by the tint. so then i drove around to get a window and i have to wait till tomorrow morning for them to pull it, B/S jy's. $75.
so that is one reason why i didn't go.

the main reason is he didn't tell his parents, who are my gf's parents. so i wasn't going to take him and while i was gone to get the window he left.
then i found out my sister didnt take her car a friend of ours took his 93 eagle talon tsi fwd STICK... the zx2 is STICK... they both can't drive stick (sister and brandon) so they are dumb for doing that. esp. since she has an 03 neon sxt that gets way more mpg lol.

but..... i wish i would have gone. so i could check out the car. oh well i;ll see it later.....................

Huh..sounds like they need more guidance in life then if they dont know how to drive stick. Good way to learn i guess is on a long trip back. Still trying to figure out how your starter fell apart after races. Unless you starting it the whole time while driving it..i dont get it.

i don't know how the starter fell apart. but there was one bolt missing and one of the 3 gears. i put it back together best i could turned it in as a core and got a new one.
my gf's dad said i rattled it apart because of my motor mounts LOL.
but... other then the starter falling apart like that i haven't had any problems w/ my car.
and i've drove 3k miles on it already. numerous launches, racing, beating on it etc.
people give them bad reps because of the young kids that don't do maintenance, or make sure the car runs right before they beat on it/race it/etc... or they do other dumb shit like turn the boost up w/ out supporting mods and that will mess some shit up..
or they have a 7 bolt w/ crank walk? i don't know... but there are a ton of people w/ dsm's here and none have had problems... except for shit that happens when you mod the hell out of it and race it....... but that is when you upgrade more shit and come back faster and better.

and street racing isn't dangerous where we do it. there has never been an accident or anything here. the only thing was a cars wiring was messed up so it caught on fire and only way people have gottten hurt are when there are fights... and that shit is annoying.

the closest track is milan and norwalk and we arent going to go that far. there are alot of people here that go... 1newzx2 is one of them on here and he can vouch that it's safe. hell he lines up and starts 80% of the races there every weekend.

someday someone here will have the money to open a track and then we will all go. but for now this will do. it's something to do fri and sat nights, it's fun, and we are all smart and safe about it all. no one drives down this road ever, we go earliest 11pm to around 5am sometimes, cars all park on side of the 2 lane road behind starting line. the lanes are big enough that person starting it has room, if someone has tires turned to when they start they can hit them we tell them. the people that spin the tires burn them so they can get traction and not hit the starter etc. and at the end of the road it goes to the left a little, stop sign, can only go right a little then straight over a bridge then stop sign and only left... and you can see all the way down there so we don't start a race if cars are coming at us!!!!

yeah and i don't know how it fell apart just saying.. after the races saturday night where i started my car numerous times.. went to miejer and turned off and on. then got a mile from home went to gas station and come out it wouldnt start. so we rolled it back pushed forward popped clutch took it home. waited till monday to mess w/ it and when trying to find it jason handed half of it to me. then looked at driveway and 2 of the gears were there on the ground.
maybe it was loose from whoever had it before? and my motor mounts helped to rattle it off? lol......
