It's an exhaust cut out so yeah it'll work as an exhaust cut out. But seeing that this is in the FI section, and if I am interpreting this correctly. No it will not work as a waste-gate.

Inis, what are you running after the down pipe? I thought you were running the stock s/r exhaust since you are running a cut out..

I've seen a them installed on a couple local soarers. Very Trick. if you install right after your header it'd be really loud.

Yes I'm running a 3inch downpipe, 3" cut out, and stock exhaust.

I put one on my zx2, And I didnt like it one bit, the car was way too loud to even hear yourself think, And It did nothing for me on the dyno. Plus my car at the time was on Sprint springs and I smahed the cut out cuz the damn thing is way too big and it scraped the road....
Don't waist your money, just make sure you have a nice flowing exhaust, Im running a 3" with a 14" resonator and thats it.

You'll need an actual diverter ehxaust cut out to run that.

I bought the cut out pipe, but seeing how much it was going to kill flow when the dump was closed I scrapped the idea altogether.

The cutout pipe now sits around my house somewhere, if you want it. 3" in/out.

I feel like this would make the biggest difference if you put two of them on an modded N/A V8.

Cutouts do work. Basically having a shorter exhaust makes the powerband more top heavy.
