Did our car ever come with this feature? For those not real familiar it's the extra hook that allows you to snap a carseat into place without having to use a seatbelt.

yeah, my 99 doesn't. Instead of taking the mariner all over it'd be nice to snap the carseat in place instead of dicking with the seatbelt that never goes snug

Maybe hit up the junkyard for a newer zx2 and look for the latch system I think you can remove it and install it in your 99....

I think my 99 parts car may have them(!?) or I may have just been hallucinating, but I doubt it

They go right above where the seatbelt bolts in and right below where the seat backs bolt in.

that looks like it would be it. Anyone by some obscure chance have a part number?

Ford should have them readily available.

They became required by law in 2002 so if you go to a junkyard and find an 02 or newer you should be able to pull them off that also. Before that I think it was just an optional feature.

Babies don't belong in ZX2s, don't you know that these are race cars? ;)

I just got the tether kit. It's just the snap over the top of the seat. I was looking more for the actual "latch" loops like are in the newer cars
