Shifter knob problems

So I bought a shifter knob from autozone yesterday and I went to put it on and it don't fit. It's called shark. What should I do?

Does it have threads? Or does it use set screws to hold it on?

The thread for the zx2 shifter is 10x1.25

If it's set screw installed. Wrap some electrical tape around the shifter. Wrap enough so it's tight when you slide the knob over it. Then put the screws in. Electrical or duct tape will work. The plastic adaptors they give you just sit around and spin all day.

Well its hard to explain. The bottom part of the shifter screws into the bottom of the shifter but that is the same diameter as the shifter.

If its the same size as the shifter.I would take it back.
