This is currently JUST A FEELER.

On the old site I had many people say they may be interested pending on pics of the design. I'm just seeing how many are still interested. I have to finish other projects before I take this one on.

Description:

- The Bars are manufactured from 1.75" .095-wall DOM steel tubing and uprights are 1" .065 wall DOM. Any tabs are 1/8" mild steel and all weld areas are currently MiG welded.

Installation:

- The harness bar mounts to the stock location of the shoulder belt on the B-Pillar (eliminates stock belt) and the uprights mount to the exhaust tunnel approx 1/2" behind the center console using 2 bolts. The bars help to anchor the harness bar and prevents any vertical movement and keeps the harness bar in place at all times. Installment of these bars is also said to provide chassis stiffening in some vehicles.

NOTE: You must drill 2 holes through top of tunnel. The bolts for the brace will be tack welded in place prior to any powder coating or shipment (if raw) so plate can be dropped on and you can just go under the car to make this able to be installed by 1 person. (Doesn't hurt to have a friend to help put the main bar in but its not a big deal to do it by yourself)

Options: All prices include shipping to the 48 continental states.

As Pictured (Raw): $230 shipped
Powder coated: $275 shipped (Red, silver, or Black)
Powder coated: Send PM (Other color or 2 Stage)

(Compare prices to Sparco which run between $325-$450 + shipping)

Powder coated and installed pics coming within a week or so. Installation How-To with pictures to follow.

Very much interested in a raw one. Also, can you weld on the tabs that the harnessess slide through and keep from going side to side?

OK, so does this mean I cannot use stock belts anymore? I like the idea of stiffening the chassis, but need to know if there is a way to retain use of stock belts! Please advise when you get a moment. Thank!

Just weighed myself and then weighed while holding the bar. Our scale is digital and fluxuates +/- 3 lbs or so but it said 15 lbs this time. Holding it that feels about right.

I'll know a "real" weight when I ship one. This 1st one is getting "delivered" tomorrow at CapitalCrew's meet.

Got it back from the powdercoater today...

Yes and I wouldnt recommend it because in the event of an accident, if your head hits it, you will get messed up bad or killed.

Its only 4 bolts to remove it so you can pop it in and out in a matter of minutes once you get used to it.

i wont let anyone ride in the back seat. and pipe wrap may make it a bit softer. can you still use stock seat belts?

While the bar is installed, you can not have the stock belts installed at the B-pillar.

tis true :something:

Should be legal anywhere since it is used to bolt down harnesses, as long as your harness itself is dot legal that is, My cousin has the Sparco version in his STI and he's never been ticketed and he lives in Kileen, TX.
