I've done it in my old 3rd gen, which is the same exact set-up. It's not too hard, but there's alot of grinding and cutting, to get everything to set perfectly.

That DOES look incredible. I really love that recessed look around the stereo.

It was the first fiberglassing attempts that I made in the interior, and on the first car, that i taught myself how to fiberglass on. I didn't take any pictures of the process, just an after pic. I got rid of the car a while back.

I used fiberglass jelly, which now, the bondo with fiberglass strands should do the trick. I used a hot glue gun to hold it in place. It's hard to explain how to do it.

It all works fine. The controls are just lowered, but not further away, so there's no problem there

What's that other thing beside the defroster button? Looks like a USB port.

I didn't have a defroster button. Those are green switches, that had silver over spray on them, lol.

If you do this, can you post pics afterwards?
I have an idea to put my 9in touchscreen flat panel monitor in my dash and would like a jumpoff point.
I basically want to port my jukebox from my living room to my car, but I have to build a custom case for the PC (an old P233 rocking win95 and an ancient version of winamp)
