I installed the Kenwood KDC-122 in my system and since than I couldnt get my factory alarm to work at all. I tried the resetting of the alarm with the off/ACC 8 times real fast but the locks wont even reset.
I went to a junk yard and replaced the module in the trunk and I still couldnt get it to work. So I not have a wire hooked up correctly? What colour wire? And is there a fuse attached to the system? (Ive lost my fuse diagram)
Thanks everyone

Did you use a wire harness or did you splice?

I spliced. Should I be able to find me a harness?

Take out the Kenwood and reinstall the factory radio to see if the problem remains.
If it doesn't, then it was the splicing the Kenwood in that did it. Then get a harness for the car. They are like $5. You may have been splicing into a wire that wasn't meant to be. lol
Also, check all fuses under the hood and in the cabin.

I reinstalled the factory unit and it still does not work.
As I pulled it out. I did happen to have a harness and not spliced. I checked the fuse box by sight. It was difficult to see what was burned. Any idea where a diagram of the fuse box is located?

Does your door locks still work?If they dont check the passenger side kickpanel for the relay and the fuse box under the dash.

If I press the button on the actual doors, Yes they do work. Just not with the remote key. I went to the junkyard and picked up a module (in the trunk) and tried the reset (off-ACC) 8 times in 10 seconds. I just get nothing.
Ive heard the alarm does not have anything to do with our radios factory harnesses? So its only gotta be the fuse. (hopefully)
Problem is I lost my fuse diagram. Need to find a ZX2 fuse diagram.
