Brake Pad orientation

For the front pads, one pad on each side has the wear indicator tab. How should that pad be oriented?

Does it go on the outside or inside, towards front or rear??

Does it matter??

it doesn't matter...i have it so it's on the downsteam side. if that doesn't make sense...as the rotor turns going forward, it is on the side that it won't be sucked into the brake if it ever falls off.

Sounds good... That's what I thought so that's how I put them on... Just wanted to make sure.

just put it on the outside..that way you can quickly judge off of it how low your brakes are...

I thought about it, but it's too late now.. They're already on the car now..
