Love the car! :)
I saw a Street Rod last year that had the entire body polished and clear coated. Looked chrome. You should do that. :)

So with after the primer I hauled the car up to my dads friends house in michigan on this past thursday. He has a full Devillbiss booth in his garage out back and he shot the whole car and cleared it. All that it needs is some wet sanding and rubbing. The car looks great though and Im very excited to see some more progress. I know the firewall looks bad, but it will be covered with a polished aluminum sheet anyway.
Here are some before and after shots.

I did use it to mock up the mounts...but it is also the one I'm using. Its a 302 Ford, believe it or not...the valve covers make it misleading. I went with it because it was cheap and dependable. Later on down the road I may swap a big block into it....but thats years from now.
Also, thanks everyone else. I will be posting more pics as soon as theres another major update. The frame needs to be tweaked a bit, then painted. Once thats all done i'll put the body on the frame again. (Spring 09 is the date...It will happen...)

Haha, i cant wait to see what its like when i pull the heads. Under the valve covers it looks pretty good so that should show nice things underneith. Its ready for a full rebuild this winter.
Crazy....Start a project like this! We need more younger people restoring old cars (im young too..only 22). Plus..its an investment. My situation....$10,000 in...$30,000+ out. (not that i have any desire to sell it. But if i absolutely had to...I'll make some cash)

Oh, absolutely. Seeing the paint on the body after months and months of body work was astounding. Next comes the frame. And when the two are mated together I'll feel like im finally almost there.
test (dont mind this).
