Aw man! Y'all don't know how much I miss home. I'm in Ohio, now. I've lived in Dubuque, IA, Gulfport, MS, Metro Atlanta area, GA, North Georgia, and this God-forsaken shit-hole, Columbus, Ohio.
I grew up on the Golden Gulf Coast, after moving there in about first grade til 26-28 yrs old. I'd hafta say I woulda agreed with you in my latter years there, because I was livin it up as much as possible, but there wasn't as much diversity in stuff to do. I'm sure that's moreso, now, with reconstruction still in process, BUT if y'all had to deal with these heartless, self-centered, arrogant, and dirty-politics-using Yankees every day, you'd see why I couldn't disagree more.
Southern Mississippians have hospitality. I got pissed-off at work the other day cause I had to hand-unload a large amount of heavy materials with my Latino crew members, and the whole time there's about a half a dozen half-dead, shiftless sumbitches standing there watching til I gave them a direct order to come lend a hand. Then only 3 or 4 came, but that was twice as many hands. I was PISSED because the way I was raised in MS was something like: "You have a load to carry, and there's nothing in my hands. Let me help you!" Even a stranger. These elderly fucks think you're up to something if you hold the door and let them go first! I was taught to respect your elders, and you hold doors for women, children and elderly.
You got it good with the atmosphere! Mississippi has character, history, great food (did I mention these fucks don't know what seasoning is/ the food here SUCKS!), and last, but not least, a BEACH!

Well I hope you enjoy it down here. Its not really that bad. If you like to gamble you'll have lotsa fun. As some of us have said, you might wanna drive that extra 2-4 hours to either Gulf Shores, AL or to Panama, Pensecola, or Destin, FL. The beaches are better there. Now if you go out to Deer Island i've been told its nice and clear out there. Been here since 1992 and have yet to go. :(

Yeah, I have a bit done. My worklog is in the photo forums. I was down there earlier this year when I attended the Academy. I had fun and enjoyed it down there. Plus it's close to home. I am originally from Beaumont, Tx, so its just a 4 1/2 hour drive.

Get what you'd be happier with....a zx2 or the teggy. The main reason i'm choose the teggy is the aftermarket for it is huge and cheaper.....alot cheaper.

yeah I liked the polished rotas, I sold the car to a friend and he just converted it to obd1, it really woke it up. And he's gonna clean up the engine bay now without throwing codes. ha.

Just thought I would say, I finally moved down here. Anyone know of anything to do, other than the casinos? I saw a couple of nice cars driving around, but haven't got a feel of what type, if any, kind of car scene is down here. Does anyone ever do any meets or anything like that? Not that it matters a whole lot since I put my car in storage and it is nothing but a shell. But I would like to get out and meet some of you guys sometime.
