I have a Visonik 12 sub with a Built in amp that i paid $50 for almost 2 years ago. we are trying to hook it up in my brother s 93 Mustang. All the wires are run I got juice to the amp and a good ground yet the amp is not turning on. we have tried everything. My only thought is maybe the amp is fried? what you guys think

Did you by chance forget to hook up the remote wire or is the fuse blown?

the headunit has sub wireing but it doesnt have a remote wire. all the fuses are good. does the remote wire have to be connected.

Yes the remote is what turns the amp on when the head unit turns on all decks should have one it's the blue wire.
You can run a wire from the fusebox as a remote if there isn't one present on the head unit.

just any fuse? I might just make him wait for a new headunit. Is there a way to test it to make sure thats the problem?

it is usually a blue wire coming out of the head unit

Ill have to get pics because there is no blue wire. ive installed several steareos on several cars and they have all had the wire and this one doesnt. Ill pull it out tommarrow and take pics.

It may be tagged as the antenna wire.
Or just run it to the fuse in the panel that is listed as "Audio" or "Stereo" or "Cabin"

you can test the amp without a remote you just get a jumper wire to go from positive power to the remote connection.

I would just hook iit up to the acc on wire of the deck.So like that the amp turns on when you turn the key since you say it doesnt have the blue wire.
