S/r Wheel Info

I Just Picked Up A Set Of 2000 Factory S/R Wheels For My Sons Car.... I Seem To Recall Seeing Somewhere On This Site Mentioned That They Needed To Have Spacers Used Behind Them On The Rear???? His Car Has Drum Brakes If That Makes A Differance,,, Any Help?????????? Thankyou

My S/R was built in 06-00 and does not have spacers,front or rear. The car still had the OEM tires, 205-55/15 Goodyear Eagle F1's, when I became the second owner. I have used Falken Azenis RT-215 in 205-50/15 and Kumho MX's in 205-50/15. None of the three types of tires rubbed.

My wife has a 2000 ZX2, white with ATX, that we tried the Kumhos on. They rubbed in the rear on the left on a plastic cover, but not bad.

I don't think you will need spacers, especially if you use less than a 205 tire.

IIRC spacer's were used to clear EGT brakes. I.E. on 99' s/rs. Someone can clearify that if its wrong.

'99's had different wheels than the 2000. There may have been a slight difference in offset. Hence the need for the spacer.

if you got the daisy patterned , 2000 zx2 s/r rims (former mercury tracer rims) , you do not need spacers.

'99's had different wheels than the 2000. There may have been a slight difference in offset. Hence the need for the spacer.

S55C - What size tires are on the rims? 205/55/15 was stock.
195/55/15 is also a good size to get, giving a bit more sidewall room .

Are you sure? The 2000 S/R wheels (black ones) came off the 2000 S/R pictured in the back round. They've been painted but otherwise are standard fare
