We tried to install my speakers today but can't figure out how to get the manual window handle off to take off the door panel. Everything else is unlatched/screwed.

two ways:
1) take a small (and I mean small) flat head screw driver and put it between the crank and panel. Then rotate the window crank till u see the pin pop out. See pic below...
2) use a towel, place part of towel between crank and panel, then rotate handle
I prefer number 1, because I've never gotten 2 to work for me...

Alright thanks, I'll try them. You live in GR hey? I'm going to school at Ferris in august.
This shouldn't have been posted in the how-tos.

I've gotten the towel to work on several cars. Just be VERY careful because the little U-clip can go flying into the nearest patch of grass and you won't be able to reinstall the crank. (not from personal experience but I've seen it happen to others)
The EASIEST way is to spend the $5-10 for the crank removal tool and use that .

I actually always just use the t shirt I am wearing at the time. And no I do not take it off in order to do it.
