Why Do You Capitalize Every First Letter?

Ok I'm sorry this is off topic but,

since when does Caps-lock capitalize the first letter of every word?

Anyhow, just disable your knock sensor and flip your pots on when needed. Spend you money on better things like a header right now.

Your options are:

*Superchip (Blue): probably have to find one used and get it reflashed or a matching PCM for it

*SCT: Probably the most common tuning method for our cars

*Diablosport chip: Similar to a Superchip

*Sniper tuning: Kinda DIY tuning

Check the companies websites for more info

Mmmm Chips. . . .

No, the s/r was mtx. It won't be able to control your shifts in an auto. And yes, sct can make very noticable gains.

I could be mistaken, but didn't Superchip have a red chip also?

The red chip was a flip chip.

you don't "cut" the knock sensor, you just unplug it.

and then? higher timing, or what?

pulling the knock sensor doesn't pull or add timing.

Our knock sensor mistakes engine vibrations for "ping" and takes it upon itself to "pull" timing to compensate, however, the car really isn't pinging so when the knock sensor pulls timing it hurts the acceleration of our vehicle. There has been enough dynos done where you should feel perfectly safe removing this silly sensor from existence.

I have a habit of doing this sometimes when I type lists out.
