I think the bread is just sliced thicker. Regular texas toast is awesome for french toast.

I'll be making english muffin pizzas shortly. Yum!

Tonight I'm making spaghetti and meatballs.

And yes, Texas toast is just thicker than regular bread. If you go down the bread aisle at the store you can compare, lol.

Ps. I like this thread, might give me some ideas on what to cook sometimes. I always ask the hubby what he wants for dinner and he tells me 'food'

Sometimes I feel my meals are too redundant, lol.

Well we didn't have the stir fry last night. Hubby had something else in mind. So we had Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and Rolls. Tonight is rice. I don't know what it's called, something his family makes in Puerto Rico. It's yellow rice with hot sausages and olives.

What is Chicken Tetrazinni?

jess
04-23-2008, 11:38 AM
Chicken, obviously, lol. With cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, with angel hair pasta, and finally, some cheese.

It's been awhile since I've made it.....but I think that's pretty much it, haha.

I've heard some people call it 'white spaghetti' or 'chicken spaghetti'....i just associate spaghetti with marinara, so that makes no sense to me.

Ooo that sounds good! Maybe I can convince my husband to try it. He's not much into chicken though. He's a red meat person. But I grew up on chicken.

Ha ha! I knew what kind of pretzels you meant. Still isn't much of a dinner. Filling yes, but no nutrition.

I had Spaghetti with Garlic Bread tonight.

Where is the carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli? My mom adds that to hers. Good stuff, also lover her spaghetti.

Tonight we had Meatloaf with scallop potatoes and peas. It was relatively good.

Last night we had a roast with some kind of noodles and a "Mexican" rice that was spicy.

Night before was a meatball sub with mozzarella cheese. Lunch that day was Meat Lovers pizza from local pizza/sub shop.

Tomorrow is left over roast or meatloaf.

They got some pork chops for Saturday.

They emptied the freezer in the garage... so I dont know what is planned past that. Its over 15 years old and they calculated it at costing around $300 a year. I'm swiping the compressor from it to use as a vacuum pump for when I do CF / fiberglass work in molds.

Going to convince them to make Hamburger Hash soon. Ground beef with diced green peppers, onion, and cubed potatoes with a lil salt/pepper. I like that with some shredded cheese and ketchup on it.

^^we aren't big vegetable eaters at our house, so no veggies in the chicken tetrazzini, haha. I don't eat carrots, he doesn't eat broccoli, and neither of us eat cauliflower, haha.

What is Hamburger Pie? Hope hubby feels better.

Well, I don't call it hamburger pie, hubby just sort of gave it that name, haha.

Anywho, I brown ground meat, then put in about half a can of tomato soup...maybe the whole can depending on how much meat I use. Then I'll put in either frozen corn or peas....whichever I'm in the mood for. Just let that boil a little bit. Then put it in a cake pan, and put mashed potatoes on top of it. Then I bake it for about 20 minutes or so. Sometimes I'll put shredded cheese on it, other times I'll make some red gravy, last night I made gravy

James just likes cheese on EVERYTHING, so I make a lot of things with cheese, haha.

Oh, trust me, I dont eat broccoli or cauliflower in anything else or by themselves. Its fine in the chicken tetrazzini.

My wife is Viet, so I have 2-3 home cooked Asian meals a day consisting of a rice, a meat, and veggies or salad of some sort. I've never eating so regularly or healthy in my life :). The wonderful thing about Viet food is that it is all French influenced, so it is nothing short of delicious. Nothing like Chinese take out garbage.
