z3 fenders

anyone have a problem puttin z3 fenders on their z? i didnt get them completed today, cuz a storm moved in, but i started to put them on, and with the driver side i am havin a bitch of a time gettin it to fit right.
the passenger side looks as though its goin to be easier, so far anyways.

anyone know of any tricks or anything like that??
if not, i guess, fuck me right??

When I had them I had to oval some of the holes to get them to mount properly.

Well I understand this. But mine didn't even have holes to roound out. I had to completely drill all of them. But drilling the holes ain't really the problem.

The fender just seems to be a little mis shaped as if the mold wasn't quite right.

Plus the 2 bolts by the bottom of the door, the snapped off.

Mine did something similar. When I didnt oval the holes that were already drilled, it ripped the upper fender bolt head clear off. But it's what you have to expect from a fiberglass mold. They are never perfect without some kind of body work.

That is true man. That is very true. That's the main reason why I try and stay away from fiberglass hahap but I like them, and I'm goin to have to deal

I have been thinking of getting the Z3 fenders. Anyone use the Duraflex fenders instead of the fiberglass fenders like those from VIS?

those are the ones that i got. the duraflex z3 fenders. they are pretty sweet lookin. i will load a picture up later today, so you can have an idea of what your gettin.

mine were a pain in the ass so i just stopped ,i have decided to mold them to front bumper so dont have the problem anymore....i know i know but it is strictly show not driver

i can get you some of work being done but looks like ass cuz not finished

make the holes bigger or add fiberglass to the lips. i haven't had any probs with my fiberglass ones but im thinking of buying stock fenders and molding the z3 into them.

I got the pictures here on my phone, I will load them when I get off work tonight around 10. You just want the exterior pictures right? Or do you want more.

Also, add fiberglass to the bottom of the lip for under the hood, that makes a lot of sense, I never thought of that..
