Turbo Boost question...

If i was to buy a turbo w/o a boost controller what would the PSI be at?
Basically do you need a Boost Controller with the Turbo or does a turbo kit already have somthing like 8 PSI when put on w/o a boost controller...

its all going to depend on the wastegate setup.. they come with varied springs one some ..and some are adjustable(some externals..but they are $$$) you can rig up a homemade boost controller form homedepot in a pinch for 5-10 $

So in this it just say "wastegate" what am i suppose to get out of that if anything?

Ask what brand of wastegate and how many psi the spring is.

A boost controller is not needed unless you want to run a higher psi than the wastegate spring is.

Just remember that a boost controller will not let you run lower PSI than the WG spring is.

Well i think thats good enough and it will be fun enough..
I use to have a zx2 but couldnt really do much once the tranny went bye bye, so i got a 2006 Nissan Spec V, which is very nice car and i knew these forums could answer my questions, Thanks alot guys
