What are your feelings on karma?
Does anyone use it as their religion,or way of life?

Do not believe in it.
I do not let a fear of retribution or reaction to my decisions control my life.
"Karma" is mainly made of Coincidences.
It's satisfying when people get paid back and get what they deserve, but no "force" caused it to happen. It happened because they put themselves in the position for it to happen. You control the course of your life for the most part. Your decisions and level of personal responsibility causes the events in your life and the ability to overcome them. If something good happens, you likely deserved it. It something bad happens, you need to examine your decisions and find out why to prevent it again.
If "Karma" existed, many people in politics would be homeless and disabled, because they deserve it for all of the people they've cheated. Lawyers too.

I used to believe in karma.
I don't anymore.
Your good actions bring around good reactions because you have influenced people to do so on your own behalf.

Karma is widely misconceived.
Imagine you carry a sack with you. Everytime you do something bad/wrong you put an equivalent amount of Karma in the bag. Everytime you do something good, you take an equal amount of Karma out. If your bag is light at the end of your life, then you may rest in peace. If, on the otherhand, your bag is burdensome and heavy, your soul will be burdened and heavy, and you will not have a restful passing.
It's the old saying that's been used a thousand times, "what goes around, comes around"
The golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
It's the fundamental principal of most every religion, but the Hindus named it Karma.
Yes, I believe in it!
I broke a guy's skull once (bare-handed, bitches!) in a fight, and three months later I was in a coma with a fractured skull! Coincidence, maybe.

I believe in karma. But I also know it can be taken out of context, some people concieve karma where there is none.

I believe in karma to a certain extent. I believe that if you are good and nice to people, that good things will happen to you. However, I have seen good things happen to bad people. But down the road, their luck might change.
I think it does affect your life to some degree, but not to the point where if I let a lady pull in front of me, that it will be done in return.

I don't believe in Karma in the spiritual sense, but I believe how people treat you is affected by how you treat others. If you're a generally obnoxious jerk, people will come to understand this, give you a wide berth and avoid you where possible. When you need someone's help people will avoid you. Someone capable of giving you back what you dish out will probably hand it to you when you are vulnerable.
on the other hand people who are helpful and respectful (not subservient or ass kissers) will gather the same. When they need help some people will remember their good deeds and help out.
It doesn't work 100% of the time but there is a trend that you get back what you send out.

I believe in it very much. I'm not going to use political examples because that would start something.
But, I knew someone who worked as a store supervisor. She was a bitch to begin with. She was told about a trip 12 weeks in advance. Rather than do the right thing and schedule that day off. She waited till the week before and said that she had something to do with her son. She treated the guy that she went on the trip with like shit (they used to be very close friends till that trip and he was a standup guy.) He posted part of the story on Myspace cause he was pissed. Except, he forgot to privatize it to "friends only" for one day.
Someone found it cause he was number 1 in her Top 8. They took it to her manager and layed the nail into the coffin to get her fired. She instantly took to anger. Screaming and yelling out the door. They almost called the cops. She even picked up the phone and screamed at the guy who posted it. You could tell that He was apologizing saying he didn't mean for that to happen since it was only up for 1 day. Too late though, the damages had been done. Honestly, I felt sorry for the guy. He cared for her and she shit on him like no one else. I think he finally got a good taste of her true colors that day.
So yea, Kharma comes around. Especially if yer a bitch.

It's not it's something I live my life by, but I try and be a good person. It might not work out as an eye for an eye, but it certainly can't hurt. I've been fairly fortunate in my life, and maybe it's because I try and be good... I don't know.

I agree. I dont think karma is an even cycle. but if you keep yourself in check. and make sure you are doing the right thing, and have a good sense of morals. Then YOu wont have to worry about bad karma comming your way.

I've seen those bad things turn into good things later, too many times.
It's those experiences that allow us to help others through the same thing again and again.

Man is that the truth. Karma is not real, bad things happen to good people and vice versa, Jon put it great...

I don't believe in karma. Good things happen to all people and bad things happen to all people. I do believe in Erik Erikson's stage theory
"The final stage, Integrity vs. Despair, occurs during late adulthood. This is the time in which the individual looks back and evaluates their life. If the previous stages have developed properly then they will experience integrity. If the previous stages have not developed in a positive way then they will feel despair."

I don't think this applies to all individuals though.

Some people get retribution in this life, and some later.
Karma is B.S., it is like re-incarnation - you can not prove it, but you can choose to funnel your beliefs through it.

I try to act with purpose when I can, and to treat others as I would hope to be treated. Maybe it's karma, maybe it's just life-but from my experience what comes around goes around. Call it Karma if you want. Call it Chaos theory. Call it whatever, but our actions have an effect no matter how small they seem.
Sometimes the joker in me gets the better of me though:)

I despise psychology. You can not say everyone is and individual, and then try to group them and punish them when they do not fit in a group...............it is one of the most hipocritical "sciences" in the tree.

I think most people fit into categories that psychology groups them into, but not all. Of course there will be exceptions. And of course a good portion of the textbook we learn from is theories, not facts because it is very hard to prove these theories.
What do you mean by punish exactly?

I've watched people be labeled and even locked up for not fitting pre-packaged ideals during "anylizations" or whatever they're called. This was back in the day, and albiet things may have changed quite a bit from when I was a kid-but I don't think psychoanylzations have any place in determening whether someone should be free or not sorry.
People have been held on 51/50's for saying they beilieve in God. What kind of BS is that?
That is what I meant by "punished". Other then that, I just don't like psychology too much. I see it for what it is- a social science and an attempt to group people for easy study. It should not be considered a medical science....IMO
