Here we go again!
The top bar is removed, the tb bored and ported, and a new ANODIZED AND LASER ETCHED butterfly installed. The bore size is 58mm.
New price is $120 plus a 30$ core charge. ($150)
The cores need to be in good shape, last time I was unable to use 2 of them.
They need to be free of rust ,and still have the tps installed. Last time people tried to remove them themselves and they hacked up the tb. If I recieve a unusable tb I'll ship it back at your expense, or the tb will not count as a core. Whichever is more convienant.

I need 10 tb's in my hands before I can begin, and for those who are willing I will still accept extra tb's for a discount of 30$ each. up to 3 tb's per individual.

a deposit of $60 will be required to get on the group buy.

Befor the old site went down I recall that the idle speed is raised with these, is that still the case? I would be very interested in one if the idle remains the same without toying with it.

Idle is raised a little, but nothing major.

Quik, if I send you my TB, will I beable to get the same one back (for some reasons other tb's make my intake rub on the hood)? I also did some minor dremel work to it...will that be a problem?

I reduce the height of the tb's just for that reason.
also what's the dremel work? I don't like to work on tb's that have been messed with. especially ones that have been ported out with a dremel or a die grinder. it causes all kinds of greif.

I dont think so, but you can grab them off of the vct zetec contours which are common in the junk yards.

^you may want to specify that it'd be only the bigger tb that came on them as some contours had that smaller tb you said was junk

So after 3 different scrapyards, I finally found two of the VCT zetec contours (not a single zx2, and the one vct sedan had the head and manifolds gone). So I pull them, go to pay. 90 freeking dollars. I told them to pi** off. They were all corroded and oxidized anyways.

It's gonna be harder then I thought to find some extra TB's I'm thinking. I can't take mine off the zx2 without having a replacement. Hmmmm...........(thinking)

Just curious about something. Is anyone filing in the small hole made by boring out the tb? If so what are you using and how are you smoothing the finish out? If not, wouldn't this create a leak?

the throttle cable bracket screw fills the hole. just add a little rtv to make sure it dosen't leak. It's never been a problem for anyone.

here's a little help. not that I would condone doing something like this, but....
most self pull yards sell car doors for around $40. go get a cadillac door remove the door panel and fill it with as many parts as you can fit in the door and replace the panel and then go pay for the door and walk right out.

Hehe...yeah I though of something along those lines. The ones I found were pretty corroded anyways. There is not a lot of VCT cars at the local scrapyards for some reason. Lots of eagle talons, mitsubishi eclipse, and honda civics though. Especially front end and rollovers. hmmm.
