I started out with a 2003 Mazda Protege but sadly it got totalled

I'll be honest my parents bought it for me as a graduation/Christmas/birthday present even though none of these happen close together. So yes slightly spoiled. I'm told they paid over $10,000 for it with 30,000 miles on it so they got gypped.

So I went looking for a new car and I found this on Yahoo.

$7,700 including all the other bull shit fees for a 2003. 33,000 miles on it. Had a broken radio, and a cracked front bumper. Power windows, locks, ABS, sunroof, automatic. My parents wanted me to get a Focus for $12,000 but I was paying for this one so I chose. My parents paid for it all there, and I am paying them back. I have $1,800 left.

I did some searching online saw Team ZX2 and ignored because I hate forums. Then I saw zxtuner.com and I guess I started my ricer stage.

Bought gun metal tail lights, but my friend stepped in and put me back on track, though he said the tail lights were better than stock. Then I joined TeamZX2 and bugged everyone with my noobishness

Picked up a Pioneer AVIC N1 for $500. Best investment I ever made.

Bought the ZXtuner Roush Style Intake. There was a big thread on this, and as far as I know I was the first to try this one out (not buy it). ZX2Fast or SPYKEzee helped me out a lot with this I forgot who it was sorry.

Woman in a Civic decided to slam on the brakes in front of me on a ramp and I swerved to avoid her, but hit a guard rail and watched her speed off.

Damage was dented quarter panel, scuffed headlight, messed up header panel and the fender.

Drove it like this for about 3 months then got tired of my head lights pointing up.

This is how she sits now. Yes I realize there is a gap between the bumper and fender. It is being held by zipties until I get a new front bumper.

I would do a 5 speed swap but I use the car everyday for work and school so unless you have the secret to doing a swap in an hour it won't be happening.

well if you know how not to lock your brakes up it dimishes how much the brakes work, and its just a bunch of extra crap you have to deal with. it makes rear disc much harder to get the needed parts too

You mean if I know how to keep my brakes from locking up it reduces brake effectiveness? I won't be doing the rear disc swap most likely, because I don't feel it is necessary. Unless I get a great deal on it.

nah i meant that it's for people that are the opposite, lock their brakes up and would slide into stuff

Just installed my leather seats they are very nice.

I checked for a computer under the seat and there was none so I guess ABS front brakes?

What's so special about my oil cap lol

the abs would be on all brakes and there'd be a comp. under the passenger front seat, I guess you just have the abs bulb in the cluster. I want the oil cap because it doesn't have just "engine oil" in english and spanish but rather the weight, looks more clean to me. I haven't been able to find one in the jy :(

Another dark blue '03.

Looks like you have a sun roof and you have fog lights, both of which I wanted, but neither I got...lol. I got the stock charcoal interior at least.

Seats look good, you need to get rid of the tan interior... I gotta see if we can borrow the interior from the ZX2 i'm pulling a motor from... won't be for another couple of months though. (im slow at these cars)

Haha well sometime this month I will be replacing the whole front bumper since the crack is getting worse, so I haven't bothered with it.

I think I'm going to stick with tan black two tone cuz I don't want to go through the trouble of replacing the headliner and dash lol

I got my spark plug cover in the mail today.

Ok future plans

2 10" subs and a 35 shot of nitrous. I am aiming for around 175 to the wheel with nitrous.

Tail lights are back to stock as well.
