Hi, I have recently bought 98 Ford ZX2 and when we bought it, the front turn indicators werent there. We later went to autozone and bought 3457 sylvania's and when we returned to install them, they wouldn't fit the socket and even if it did fit the socket, the bulb couldn'
t plug into the lens. Please reply soon with help about these indicators. Thanks

Maybe the previous owner modified the turns. You are talking about the front inner turns, yes?
BTW Welcome to TeamZX2! Stick around and learn alotta useful info....

Yes, the car was involved in an accident and the previous owner had basically restored the entire vehicle. But as for the bulbs, they are the front turn signals. I just cannot see why they dont fit the socket and wont even fit the lens. I might post pics later if you wanna see them.

There's alotta great info for cheap/free mods, stickied in the Newbies area. Be careful asking q's that are all answered, as some of us are sooooooo tired of answering the same ones over and over, but we're generally a good crowd and will help you out alot. Where are you located?

As you can see the socket is totally different. I live in southeast michigan, about 30 miles northwest from toledo ohio.

nope the bulbs you have are for the separate inner turn signals, you're trying to change the outer ones located in the headlights, inners are 3457, outer headlight ones are 194

Yeah the corner bulbs are tiny, but when you were referring to "turn signals" the inners were my assumption. There are LED wedge-type bulbs sold at PepBoys or online that emit quite a distinct, more visible light on the corners.;)
Pics cleared up my confuxsion! Thanks!
BTW You're only a hop, skip, and a jump up the road. If you get to bigger upgrades and want some experienced help, you're welcome to slide down to Columbus. There's a few of us here that are willing to help out IRL.

For those that are interested, I dug around and took a few measurements of the bulbs for the warning lights in the instrument cluster. I believe a 2322 is the best fit and should work but I haven't tested them. Not sure if there's an LED direct replacement for it or not. Also, I do know that you can use the 194 bulbs for the map lights.

Umm... think the info here for Map light is incorrect.
Mine is the dome for the moon-roof w/o door but this should be the correct number. At least that is what mine looks like. I was about to replace it, but has mine has no number so came here. The listed one (DE3175) definitely is not the same style light, so i went to Sylvania and this is what they listed.
