Well i was coming home from north brunswick, (close to the shiz hole of new brunswick) and I was bored driving home at like 11:30 ish at night. Me and my friend we're messing around and talking.

So i see this minivan/suv looking car... I hear what sounds like a turbo and im like NO way! So i decide to play around with them.

I pulled in the left lane, just doing my own thing they start to pull away, so i hit it and so do they... So we're going and the whole time this thing is couple car lengths ahead. Im like no friggin way!

So then i got behind the guy and we take off at another light and we get up 80mph and i start to catch up instead of follow and he shuts down and turns off.

lol. That thing was pretty quick. It's an acura RDX and yes it's a supercharged i-vtec. DAMN HONDA ENGINES! lol. So yeah, i got beat but no worries. That thing has a hundred more horsepower stock then i do! lol.

The roads we're empty so ya know!!! i was not weaving thru traffic and no one was killed except for the high speed bug splatter

This surprises you how? It's got a good amount of power for a little SUV.

I saw a Hybrid Toyota SUV at the track last friday running 15.3's.

This nerdy looking guy was driving it, it was sweet.

Thanks mr.weeyums for the correction. I looked on the acura website too before posting and i still got it wrong.

It didn't surprise me that much. But the fact that it's an SUV and it's got some power.

If it wasn't honda(acura), I would by one if i was in the market for an SUV.

^GMC typhoon. My sisters bf has a GMC Syclone. They're both 6 cylinder engines with tiny turbos(i got one) and AWD. They rip from what i hear.

Kinda along the same lines of a Grand National, but a truck, and its a 4.3 instead of 3.8.

That K24 turbo is a beast. Too bad its not in a car.

I test drove one of these and they roll out that's for sure.

It actually feels like your driving a sports car. I was very impressed. WAAAAY more impressed with it instead of the s2000 turd I drove. sorry but don't want to rev to 9k just to get it to pull a little.

They run high 15s. Not fast.

whats the weight on these things. horsepower means absolutely nothing if its too heavy. they make a few turbo minivans with like 220hp but i bet a z could beat them.

some of them do put up decent times. other ones are just quick enough so that people dont shoot themselves when trying to get on the interstate taking their kids to soccer practice.

although... if they go to the trouble to make it awd then its probably not in the suped up soccer mom category and would prob be pretty sweet to drive.

244hp @ 5000RPM, 258ft.lbs @ 2500RPM, redline 6700RPM. Curb weight is around 4000lbs.

Sounds like a recipe for a snoozer.

Acura has horrible reliability, almost as bad as VW. I work at Acura.

And I own a VW. Trust me, from what my friends who drive Acuras [2 TLs, 1 RL, 1 RSX] say, my vw's pretty bad. The one guy with the RL must've got a lucky one because he's had 1 issue with it; the nav screen went blank & was replaced.

But then again, what do I know?
