Bought this car with 82k miles on it, 99 fully loaded atx with no sunroof, abs, or 6 disc. Everything else. I paid $2900 out the door for it. Not a bad deal back in 05.

Day I got it:

Then, I decided to save up and get rims and a fart pipe. I got 17" Konig Reasons with crappy 205/40/17 Nankang tires. Gay. Also decided to 'spice' up my interior lol.

Then, I met my former friend Brad, or ZX2Fast as you know him. He helped me a shit ton with the making of this car, unfortunately our personalities clash too much and we are no longer friends. He helped me do the 5-speed swap. During this time, I also converted all painted shit back to charcoal lol. Also installed a crappy Dual head unit

For and around Christmas of 2006 I got a Spec Stage II clutch, TWM SS, a full catback exhaust, powders UDP, an s/r boot, and lowering springs and struts for my bday. Also acquired a dual gauge pod made my seriousZX2 and a K&N intake. Somewhere in here I also got my windows tinted to 17%

Swirlies on for the winter

At ZX2Fast's house: you can see where some faggot kicked my car lol

Then, a young boy got a dream. The dream was to make his car look like this:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/CFhood.jpg
About a year later and the acquirement of a CF hood and a black WW kit conveniently, it became this:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/CFhood007.jpg

Then, Yellow2000s/r sold me some seats, and I had picked up some Sparco Pedals that Josh helped me install right before Cyberman's meet:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/CybersMeet007.jpg

Rolled over 100k miles and painted the cluster to resemble an s/r:

Picked up some nifty CF interior pieces made by CarbonTC. These are awesome and add a great look to the interior:

Btw, here is my winter beater real quick lol:

Yup. Had it been brighter out (it started raining 5 minutes after that pic) and my windows were up it would look almost identical.

nice pic. The carbon fiber looks good too. Where did the mudflaps go to? I'll trade you a set of used black floormats if you still have them.

Thanks guys. I also want to point out (not boasting, but I am proud of this) that I turned 18 in January, so I'm not even 18 1/2 yet and should have a 275whp ZX2 by October :]

Why? If you're gonna pay for machine work, you might as well but aftermarket internals in.

There is quite a difference in the price of $150 pistons and rods and $700 pistons and rods. I'm 18, I don't need a race car. If I go from 140whp to 275whp I think I'll survive. Plus honing is only $10 per cylinder.

Kyle...what?

Yea, you got those SVT rods/pistons from FocalJet. I was just on there looking for prices.

Update:

Sold the pistons and rods.

Order Eagle rods, JE pistons, clevite main bearings, a Pnp head with crower high rev valve springs, and a pnp intake manifold all today. I also ordered a JBA focus bullhorn manifold. Next up is a gasket set and my clutch, getting it honed, and I am done.

Actually man, I want to thank you lol. I started looking at my funds, and stuff I can move around here and there, and I thought, do it right the first time. So, I did. Maybe not 100%, but I mean come on, lol. You think that set up should be safe?

Yeah that stuff should be fine. Just make sure you get the pistons/rods thoroughly checked out before you install them as they seem to be hit or miss. The only forged internal I personally have a problem with is Probe pistons.

So you'll have an engine that can handle what ever but what about the tranny? The MTX75 seems to be a pretty involved swap and so far only one person has successfully swapped it. Thats why I went with the SVT block. I knew I would probably never swap a worthwhile tranny in due to all the work involved, so why spend the money on a built engine?

IMHO, although turbo'ing my ZX2 was fun and I learned a lot, it was a big waste of money. For the price you will have into the parts alone, you could probably go out and buy a reliable 12 second Honda. After getting used to RWD and how good they launch on street tires, I also look at fwd from a different light. Just some things to think about before you get too deep into it.

I'm at the point of no return now. It is a phantom gripped tranny that should hold up. Pyschotuner is holding 358whp on his, so I should be alright.

When I do the mtx-75, it will be with a parts car focus. 2001zincs/r is about to do it, and he lives 20 minutes from me, so he offered to help when I am ready to do it. The good thing is my ZX2 isn't my DD, I have a 96 prizm I rock everyday. So, if it takes a month, awesome.
