stock head I assume? Run an svt head and you'll have around 8:4 compression.

SVT pistons are 9:1 , svt head gasket lowers a hair over .6

Well yah stock head but pnp. So you say run a svt HEAD or an svt HEAD GASKET. I can't afford an SVT head.

ya svt head gasket, mine is a ford one and they're listed for 72, I got mine for 55... I wouldn't get anything other then a ford part, or an after market performance brand (cosmetic , etc)

I'm getting recommendations on just using a Stock ZX2 headgasket. Comments?

the lower the compression the safer, svt is thicker.

I pass CFM everyday on my way to work. If you guys every need anything and they're shipping is more than it should be, let me know. I can pick it up and ship it at cost. Just to help you guys out. CFM is good though. All of the guys are super cool there.

ya i bitch about shipping and they usaully make it more reasonable. Last time I bought from them they price matched and instead of charging 28 like the website said, they charged 10 :)

I'd go with stock, it's cheaper and a lot of Focus guys recommend it. You should be able to throw at least 25psi to it on a decent sized turbo with no problems.

Jdr, no disrespect but didn't you blow a head gasket? If so, why?

I don't know if I blew a head gasket or if the rings went bad. I haven't taken the motor apart or done a compression test. There is also a slight possibility that my head studs stretched and caused some problems. Some people say to re-torque them after 500 miles to ensure a good seal and I didn't do it.

I contacted Focus Sport and they were the ones who recommended that I use a stock gasket.
