I have a stock early 99, and looking at putting a set of rims on it. The only problem is that i am in college and dont have enough money to buy new. What other cars out there have the same bolt pattern, and size rims as our cars?

I understand the civics work, but is there any other car?

And what is the largest size tire that we can run. Can we run 205's, even though we are only supposed to run 180/65/14????

Thanks...

honda civic press 2k6, some mid 90's acura's and maybe accords.

Bolt pattern is 4x100 offset can prob be anywhere from 38-42 id guess...

edgeracing.com has some cheap deals you'd be surprised.

Go with 15's if ur doin after market if not just get some of the stock 14's for the zx2 there nice looking alloys for stock IMO or get some 03' zx2 5spokes i like those the best for a factory wheel.

Go for 205/50's on 15's. We have a 4x100 bolt pattern, not sure about offset. You'll save a great deal of money buying used.

You don't really search for wheels by make/model, you search by bolt pattern.

Offset was verified at 45mm in a recent discussion.

Some early Nissans, Kia,Isuzu,Mitsubishi,Saturn, Suzuki, some Toyota. Some of them have different size center holes but it is small and can be worked around.

Stock 15" wheel is 15X5.5 4X100 42mm off-set with 185/60/15 tires. You can also use a 14X5.5 4X100 42mm off-set with 185/65/14 tires. 45mm off-set will not clear the struts in the back without the aid of a wheel spacer (not recommend). Some, not all 205 series tires will not fit properly on the back without rubbing the rear struts. The most common wheel/tire combos are 14X5.5 4X100 42mm off-set with 185/65/14 tires, 15X6 4X100 40mm off-set with 195/55/15 tires, 16X7 4X100 40mm offset with 205/45/16 tires and 17X7 4X100 40mm off-set with 205/40/17 tires. In my opinion from experience 15X6 4X100 40mm off-set wheels with 195/55/15 tires and 15X6 4X100 40mm off-set wheels with 205/55/15 tires are perfect. You have so many options in tires available on 15" wheels for the money. You could run the 195's in an all-season from late fall through early spring and the 205's in a summer tire from late spring to early fall, just get two sets of wheels (steelies for the 195's and a nice light-weight aluminum alloy for the 205's).

I agree, I had a set of 03 ZX2 5 spoke wheels with 195/55 for the winter and a set of 95 EGT 7 spokes for the summer. But due to the 42mm off-set I had to put on some 5mm spacers in the rear so my 205s wouldn't rub the struts. Those came as standard equipment on the 99 S/Rs by the way.

I have 205/55-15's on the stock 2000 SR rims which have a 42mm offset. They clear the rear strut by 4 to 6mm.

My winter wheels were Miata wheels. They fit fine.

A lot of the older Accords have like 4x114 or something, not 4x100. Most older imports that have 4 lugs are 4x100. Some of the old Mustangs were 4x100.

Your one of the lucky ones. I had 205/15s on a 15X5.5" wheel on my 03 ZX2, the tires just barely rubbed the rear struts. Like I said, it depends on the tire. I had to put the spacers on the back to make it work. All 195/55s will clear, and all 205/55s will clear with a 40mm off-set on a 15" wheel.

Odd, because Ford put those on all the 2000 SR's and Goodyear F1's. No spacers.

Yeah the did, and they put 205/55/15 on the 99 S/Rs, but they had spacers. Maybe they changed to compensate on the 2000 to equip 205/55/15 without spacers, or the OE tire would fit without them. Not all tires have the same width in a 205, my 03 needed spacers, but I was running 205/50/15 Hankook Ventus RS-2. Maybe if I ran the Goodyears or BFGoodrich PAS I wouldn't have needed them. Better to be safe than sorry and run a 195/55/15 on stock 42mm off-set wheels and a 205/55/15 on a 40mm aftermarket wheel. I guess TP could have something to do with the way tires fit too, many things could be taken into consideration. Some people have luck with fitting 215 series with no rubbing problems.

What year are the two you have laying around? Are they newer ones or really freaking old ones? I've tried alloy wheels from a really old one, and they fit aside from the fact that they look really close to the brake calipers in the front. Maybe some of the wheels fit and some don't? But it would suck to sit there and try to figure out which ones go on and which ones don't.

lol....well I tried some from a 93 and a 94. Two different style of rims. Didn't fit...one set would look pretty sweet painted black..too bad it didn't fit...:(
