'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of
job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face
with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads
walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what?? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on
Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2??
Where were you when he was 12??
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?? And where is the father?? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles (piercing) going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from?? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa . With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back. People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.'
Dr.. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.
Now I didnt read this and think, oh those black people, I read it as less or a color issue andjust an issue with people in general and thought I would share it.

Amen. Mr. Cosby has always been spot-on about social issues. He is a true leader that blacks can look up to, not racists like Sharpton, Obama, Rev. Wright and even empty suits like Obama.
To him, someone being poor should not be an excuse, it should be motivation to work yourself out of it. I completely agree.
Welfare has contributed a LOT to this lower class of stupid people. When we all pay for them to live, they have no reason to work hard, to improve and educate themselves and even to respect us and the law. They are getting a free ride, why change anything?
Even worse, the government wants to expand and take over more of our lives, sending our society as a whole down this road to being supported instead of being self-sufficient, innovative and driven to be better than we are. Liberal policies have erased personal responsibility and turned far too many Americans into lazy, mind-numb leeches on those who prefer to work for what they have. Why learn English when they don't have to work and when the government is accommodating to their illiteracy rather than forcing them to catch up? Why work hard when your food, healthcare, housing and who knows what else is being paid for by the taxes of those who actually work? Why even obey the law when there aren't even enough police to catch you in urban areas?
These are all problems stemmed from government becoming too large and taking too many responsibilities in the name of "public good". Some of these politicians may even be well intentioned when they want to support the poor, turn their heads to the illegal aliens coming in to steal, I mean find, jobs and when they want to be able to provide health insurance that people don't have to work to pay for...but they all contribute to the downfall of morality in society. Government can and should not be trusted to handle anything efficiently. Look at Social Security, the border, when Congress gets involved in military operations, welfare...they'll all failures because of involvement of politicians and bureaucrats.
We'd all be better off, including those being forced to improve themselves if we went back to a way of living expressed in the Bible:
"If a man will not work, he shall not eat." - 2 Thessalonians 3:10

:p I know. haha
I agree completely, but the problem runs deeper than simply language. He addressed a lot of the real problem in the rest of the quote though. People have no motivation. They are given a nearly free ride throughout their childhood. They are given everything by their parents, who don't work to give them any of the crap they get. Which is all useless, of course.
So now you have a young kid, looking up to a professional athlete who can hardly structure a proper sentence, making millions on TV. This young kid is watching a brand new big screen in his parent's run down junk apartment, but hey, the TV is nice. His parents are out partying.
What does he see? Well.. he sees that he doesn't have to do shit to have a big TV and to maybe even be a millionaire someday. So what does he do? Nothing.
Its too easy to live off of nothing in this country. People complain about life being hard.. it isn't hard enough for a lot of people.
The government says, "oh.. you're not working? Here, have some money and food. Even health insurance!". So where the hell does motivation to work and be productive come from? No where. There is no motivation. Stop helping people, and make people help themselves. Once they get hungry, they'll get off their asses and go get a job. If they don't.. well oh well. An open apartment, some one else gets the job, they starve to death.
It may sound cold, but I have no sympathy for any one who has an opportunity to do something with their life, and passes but ends up having a hard time. They chose that path.

At least we have young people like ^that^ to hopefully help the nation survive.
You obviously had parents who cared to be that aware of the society you live in before you even get out on your own. A lot of people don't come to the realizations you have until they get pick-pocketed by the Government when working and owning a home. :D

I knew there was a reason I liked Bill Cosby (becides the fact that his stand-up comedy was good). He just needs to enlarge the group of people he is talking too (about). The problem He's talking about is a problem with the Human Race, not just those of a certain skin color.

Oprah is the perfect example of what opportuniy lies here, she is the richest Black women.
I am sick of people leading horses to water so they can drink then the horse doesn't want crap. I say we stop leading them suckers and let them find out for them selves.

Again, why do you call her the richest "Black" woman? Why does it matter?
I respect that she made a success of herself and helps people, but I've lost a lot of respect for her with her support of Obama and speeches about race. She also attended that same church as he did.
In some aspects, she is a role model, in others, she is part of the problem with society and the racism that is being prolonged by people who make money off of it.
You would think someone who made it as far as her would be able to rise above the politics that keeps many who could duplicate her successes in a state of dependence and poverty/mediocrity.

I wasn't saying anything about her political stance, I was just referring to her success. As much as her being black shouldn't matter, it does. As long as some one feels like they are being oppressed it is going to be an issue, know what I mean?
I personally am for the One race nation and I have contributed by marrying a mexican, so I have little Graham Crackers, and I really want them to marry some little Chocolate Rice Cakes or some thing... If we are all mixed then we can't hate anyone.
::: PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT SAYING "DO AWAY WITH A RACE."

I understand. I don't see races when I see people...I look at their personalities, morals, etc.
I get called a racist because I don't support Obama. I'd gladly vote for a "person of color" if they were qualified in my opinion. But, I wouldn't even care or consider their race.
The NAACP is in the tank for Obama...yet oppose much more successful, accomplished and intelligent people as Condi Rice, Colin Powell, Michael Steele, J. C. Watts. Secretery Rice had a Master's Degree before she was age 25. She woke up and realized she could not be part of a political party that spreads victimhood and distanced herself from the Democrat party. Colin Powell led an army. But, since they don't buy into certain political views, they are shunned and attacked and called sellouts by the very people they are trying to help. They should be propped up as examples of success by these racial-based organizations, but they prove to be nothing more than special interests groups.
They are racist and politically-motivated...therefore prolonging racism and supporting policies that hold people of their "race" back.
Here is a good read with more from Cosby:

Right I agree, I don't think that race should be an issue, but hey I am white so what does it matter... I do feel that if you look for some thing hard enough you will find it. So when people are constantly looking for racism they will find it now matter how unjustified they are. I fully realized this when I watched that show where the black family were made to be white and the white family were made to be black.

Amen. Mr. Cosby has always been spot-on about social issues. He is a true leader that blacks can look up to, not racists like Sharpton, Obama, Rev. Wright and even empty suits like Obama.
Given what Obama has said about the need for people to take responsibility for their lives and having been attacked for it by Sharpton (http://www.nypost.com/seven/03122007/news/columnists/jealous_rev__al_blasts_barack_columnists_fredric_u __dicker.htm), I fail to see why you lumped Obama in with Sharpton, Jackson, Rev. Wright and others.
Obama has called for greater responsibility by the black community and has stated that publically at a NAACP convention (http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/1055855,CST-NWS-obama15.article). He has called for greater responsibility in the black community (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/16/us/politics/16obama.html?ref=fashion), mentioning problems caused by absent fathers. If anything his message places him closer to Bill Cosby than the others you cite.
If you oppose Obama then do so using accurate information. If you want to discuss Rev. Jeremiah Wright then do so, but don't automatically attribute his rants to Obama.
When you post inaccurate garbage, you make yourself no better than Al Sharpton and I'm sure you wouldn't want to do that.

obama spoke the truth. alot of folks rag of him alot, but dont take the time to read his quotes, are for that matter really try to understand what the man is trying to say. i realy feel anybody that is willing to pass judgement on a man, or women without trying to undertand the facts of what he or she is getting at is a tool. most people only know about what they discrediting or bogus info they here about in the news.
has anybody here even read his book?
has anybody even shared a conversation with him?
does anybody care to even listen to what Obama himself says?
most of you cant really say that can you?
all i see is contraversey surrounding a misunderstood statement. or gay people saying they had butt sex with Obama in a attempt to discredit him. same goes for J. Macane. i dont agree with every one of his polices, but i respect the man. even though he is a republican. lol.
so what im saying is,, get ALL your facts striaght before you lay judgement. dont listen to the media. only tools do that.
kinda like extremist muslems.
or uneducated people,,,,,and i mean,, reallly uneducated people. they believe everything they see, and hear.
murder a bunch of women and children, and recieve 40 virgins??
what a bunch of stupid assholes...
