While everyone thinks that Acura is not up-to-par in the luxury or performance game, the upcoming next-generation NSX will change all that for the Honda owned brand. According to AutoExpress, along with the Nissan GT-R and the Lexus LF-A, the 2010 Acura NSX will take on the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Maserati GranTurismo and the Jaguar XKR.
So far we’ve heard rumors that the 5.5L V10 powering the next-generation NSX will produce 500-hp. According to a new report the 5.5L V10 is expected to produce 600-hp with a peak torque of 443 lb-ft. It will be mated to a rear-wheel-drive architecture and a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
For everyone that judges a performance car based on Nurburgring lap times, the 2010 Acura NSX prototype has lapped the famous German track at a record time of 7:37.
AutoExpress also says that the next NSX will weigh 1,500kg - 250kg less than the Nissan GT-R. Pricing is expected to be £100,000 ($283,000).

I agree, I didn't like the old one that much though. It unfortunately looks like they moved the engine to the front of the car, probably not going to go over well with the NSX faithful people out there.

though it does look good.

Front or front mid according to http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/honda_acura_central/2010_acura_nsx_spied

At least the old ones were light as a feather. Now they are heavy as hell. 3,300 pounds? Blah.

And this is classic Honda... only horsepower matters... hahaha that's really funny that they're only getting ~450lb-ft. of torque out of a v10
Ok, I saw a picture of the ass end and it's definitely an overgrown S2K back there.

Considering the 2006 V8 Ford GT takes costs $160K with a 5.4L V8 making 550HP and 500ft/lbs of torque, this car does kinda suck. Not as bad as the 50K viper with a V-10engine bigger than the Acura by almost 3 litres.
Liters 8.3
Cylinder configuration V-10
Horsepower 500-hp @ 5,600 rpm
Torque 525 lbs.-ft. @ 4,200 rpm
I agree that it looks like a Saturn Sky hardtop. But hey, it's a status symbol.

Wait, so the NSX used to be a 80-90k car... now its nearly a 300k car? It wont matter what the NSX faithful think about it. They won't be able to afford it. So should I blow 300k on a honda, or should i blow 300k on a fine itailian lady. that's a no brainer. No one will buy this car.

i' could buy three GT-R's for that price and that is a disgrace to badge a NSX which was the only honda i really liked to begin with

It wont be that much in US dollars. The Acura reps that come into my work are figuring $150,000-$175,000.
