Well, last month I got back from a 7 month deployment. My brother borrowed my car while I was gone. Well anyways, one morning, about a month left, I come into my workspace, and I get an e-mail from my brother that just says, "Hey Tom, I hope you have car insurance". So at this point I'm thinking he got into an accident. Later that day he sends me an e-mail with pictures and the story. Apparrently, a tornado decided to go down the piers at the naval base that day, and hit the pier he was at. It ended up throwing a pallet into the passenger side of the car, and you can see the damage in the pictures below. It broke both passenger windows, and also put a very large dent in the quarterpanel. The paint was all messed up along that side as well.

So because of all this, I needed to bring it into a shop and get it all fixed. I decided I'd bite the bullet and throw a little of my own money at it as well while it was there to get it all redone. I got new bumpers, skirts which were molded, a spoiler, and then had the whole thing painted in obsidian black pearl (This paint is AWESOME out in the sun). The guys at the shop said when they sanded down the passenger side to do all the work, it looked like someone sandblasted my car with rocks thats how many small dents were in it from the storm. The only pics I have right now are from my phone, but once I clean the car up this weekend, going to take some more pics. I'm very happy with the work done.

Damn sorry to hear about the damage that was caused. Glad to see you got her fixed.

On a personal level, the rims are nice, but just don't flow well with the glossy paint. Not feeling the wing either, but if your happy with the ride, that is all that counts man.

It is a nice car though.

Too bad it didn't knock the wing off.... LoL Sorry, just had to.

I know how much it hurts getting your car jacked up on base. At least you can file a claim for it through the military.

so in the before pics is that grit embedded in the paint?

Yeah that stuff on the side was gravel, but it came off after my brother had cleaned the car up enough to make it "drivable" before I came back. Thats part of what I was talking about with the sandblasting comment the shop made.

But as far as the rims, trust me I know, they were the rims that came with the car when I bought it 3 years back. Plan on getting new ones eventually, but when I put some new pics up this weekend, you'll see that they're not AS bad as they look in that picture. I have some stuff that I put on them that makes them shine really glossy after you wash them up, and works real well too. Car's kinda dirty from the drive from VA to TX, so gonna detail her this weekend and take some shots.

And as far as the front bumper, that's the Andy's Autosport Combat Bomb. I bought it off of Unlikely Hero about a year or so back, and she's finally made her way to the car.
