Kk, so yesterday I was removing my knock sensor, and after that I was revving the car manually, just listening...

And I notice a bunch of pieces of rubber comming off of a hose. When I touched it it was so badly deteriorated that it turned my hand jet black.

Anyways I replaced it.. but WHAT IS THIS HOSE?

Also, I just did the Keman intake... and didnt paint the pipe yet.

a vaccum source for that regulator,

Hehe... I posted this in the newbie section cause... the only word i understood was... vacuum...

It is the vaccum line for the EVAP system.

Easy fix.
Just get the right size hose at the auto parts store, and replace it. They sell it by the foot - pretty cheap.
Get any other vacuum lines fixed as well, adn don;t forget to check the whole PCV system.

Well, yeah I fixed it.. but imalso a newbie to engines.. and was jsut wondering what it was / what it does.
