Anybody Know Anything About Proteges?

A guy at work got a Protege a little while ago. He is in kind of the same spot I was in when I first got my Z. He doesn't know anything about cars, but wants to learn.

I directed him in the direction of Protege Club, so that should get him started off pretty well..




Are the same easy mods on the Z applicable to the Protege? (resistor, knocker)

I used to have one but I didn't know too much about it. I do know that those things are very safe. I got into an accident I should've died in, but I walked away fine, and the car was fixable.

what year? my friend had an 03. Is was decent. More aftermarket than this car. The mazdaspeed protege exhaust was a nice upgrade. Almost the same thing as a zx2. I think the trannies are the same atleast.

she had a injen intake,ksports, mazdaspeed exhaust, mazdaspeed bumpers/spoiler. It was a decent car.

the trannies are alike if not the same. [ b&m pat numbers matched] i do not know if the knock sensor or resistor mod would work. Dunno how sensitive it is on the protege.
