Do you guys think it will hold boost for up to 300wtq? I know this probably isn't the right question but you guys are into the high powered stuff more than most. I just can't afford a SPEC.

It Doesn't look like it will. I looked on act's web site and every clutch they have for the zx2 says 42% load increase, and the street disc has a 269ft lb torque capacity. So according to that its about the same as a spec 2. If you go act and plan to make that much torque you will want the sprung center 6 puck. Its 30 dollars more then the unsprung, but cheaper then the street disc(or stage 3). hp freaks has it for 364. You will deff want the sprung disc. It will be far more difficult to drive daily with a unsprung puck clutch.
I recommend you just save the extra 89 bucks and buy a spec 3+, or go with the spec stage 3. Spec 3 is pretty much exactly like acts 6 puck, and its 334
heres a link to the act 6 puck its the 2nd clutch from the top. the spec clutches are down a ways

Unorthadox 6 puck ceramic racing clutch. All the HP you can throw at it and it will grip at any RPM launch.

They also offer a Feramic version but that is too extreme for ZX2's, and the life is less then ceramic. But if you plan on having a 1000hp ZX2 then go with the Feramic.

act stage 3 is a four puck. hell yes it will handle it. My cousin has a four puck in his turbo'd civic. It holds 20 pounds.

Alright I found a Spec Stage 3 for $323. If you guys say the ACT won't hold then I'll go with the Spec.

no no the 4 puck is a stage 4. the street performance disc is stage 3. act doesnt make a stage 1 or 2 for the zx2. Yes a 4 puck will hold. It holds the same amount as the act 6 puck, a 4 puck has a way harsher engagement then a 6 puck. He wants to dd this car, and a 4 puck is not a good choice for a dd. Also you can't go comparing a something made for a honda with the zx2.

just do it right the first time, spend the little extra money and you wont have to go back and fix it in the end.

Yea seriously just save 89 more dollars and get the 3+ its a solid disc vs a 6 puck so it will be more dd friendly, and it holds more torque.

yeah ive talked to him. im going off power numbers and all the peoples car[friends + professionals] who run act.

he needs to just wait for the members that have held those number's in their car and wait for their say in this. Most people are running spec around here.

There is absolutely no way I can afford to buy a Spec 3+

If I buy Spec, it will be a Spec 3 for $323. I know that will take 275whp and tq.

Alright just don't try to push it to much over that or you will have to buy a new clutch regardless of which brand you buy.

i guess thats on you then.. If it breaks your down the $323 and the cost of a new one.. I know you're looking to put down some phat power, maybe sell some parts, or a small loans from the parents.

My spec 4 puck was a POS, could'nt hold any real power.
Now I have a clutchnet.com 4 puck sprung with a "yellow" PP and it's holding way more power...AND IT WAS CHEAPER then the spec!
Plus my clutchnet.com had the springs completely enclosed and all the metal plates and what not were thincker then the Spec.
